  • Patent number: 10352749
Abstract: The present invention is about a volume-measuring device installed inside a box that used to store a liquid. The measuring device is placed at the bottom of the box dispensing the liquid, and displays via a measuring tower a measure of the volume of the liquid still in the box. The device is comprised of a receptacle or sealed pouch connected to a measuring tower. As the pressure from the weight of the liquid changes, the receptacle reacts by moving the measuring marker to reflect such change, thus measuring the current liquid volume in the dispensing box.

  • Patent number: 10305898
Abstract: During secure communications between two parties, the identity of the message creator is not always certain. In many cases, the signature of the message is automatically generated by the computer of the sending party. On the other hand, the signature of the received message from the sender indicates only form whose account the message comes, but it may not be the sender himself sending the message. In this patent, we propose the use of a personal attribute to be included in the secure message protocols. This personal attribute could be the personal typing rhythm (keystroke dynamics) of the message originator. This patent defines a methodology and algorithms for two different cases: when the information is encrypted, and when it is not. Also included in this methodology are the cases where a Rhythm Certification Agency (RCA) is used to validate rhythm information, or without an RCA.

  • Patent number: 10238291
Abstract: The present invention relates to a quantitative ex vivo method for the complementary diagnosis of the degree of dental demineralization through the use of Raman spectroscopy, which comprises quantifying the intensities and areas of a plurality of Stoke bands of the spectrum, and defining and calculating indices that result from dividing the areas of certain bands of interest. The diagnosis is determined by the proximity of the values of these indices to the values previously obtained for the normal pattern of dental mineralization established by analyzing healthy dental parts. This method provides a complementary biomedical technique for quantitative ex vivo analysis of the degree of dental demineralization on dental tissue remains extracted by medical prescription, and the information obtained will facilitate the prescription of suitable treatment to reduce or prevent said demineralization.

  • Patent number: 10102832
Abstract: A universal tuning knob for stringed instruments is presented. The invention consists of a knob with an elongated and threaded cylindrical shaft. The shaft includes a lumen sized to receive the machine head post of any stringed instrument. The outside perimeter of the knob is configured for grip. The threaded cylindrical shaft includes a slot on its side wall to receive and retain a bushing. The bushing includes a second slot that can be notched (i.e. sized) to fit and lock the machine head post of any stringed instrument. A sleeve lock with internal threads is threaded onto the threaded cylindrical shaft of the knob thereby retaining the bushing. An optional second lumen on the head of the knob is configured to receive a mounting screw.

  • Patent number: 9903319
Abstract: An internal combustion engine includes a variable valvetrain system for improving the range of controllability of the internal EGR technique adjusts the internal EGR lift in a more favorable window and position compared to the internal EGR window typically utilized. In particular, a combined change of lift, phase and duration of the internal EGR lift of the exhaust vale improves the controllability and stability of the desired amount of internal EGR. The present system achieves a high internal EGR capability at low loads and lower back pressure. The system also achieves controllability of internal EGR at high loads without requiring ultra low lifts. The system also allows warm-up of the exhaust after treatment system faster for higher conversion efficiency, reduced HC and NOx engine-out emissions and increased combustion stability.
