  • Publication number: 20240122468
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide for in-situ intraocular lens (IOL) tilt determination and for providing information associated with the angle of IOL tilt intraoperatively. An example method includes imaging an IOL within a patient's eye via an ophthalmic imaging device, in-situ, after implantation of the IOL within the patient's eye; processing the image of the IOL within the patient's eye to determine an angle of tilt of the IOL; and outputting information associated with the angle of IOL tilt to a user interface.

  • Patent number: 11962044
Abstract: The present invention offers some general specifications for the design, assembly, and adaptation of a rotating cylinder electrochemical cell into an autoclave, of a high temperature and pressure system for corrosion studies that simulate operating conditions in pipelines, as well as the operation and safety of an autoclave to evaluate the electrochemical process of metal surfaces exposed to aggressive aqueous solutions. The electrochemical cell consists of an array of three electrodes that include a rotating cylinder electrode designed to operate hermetically, a reference electrode and an auxiliary electrode. The rotating cylinder electrode is considered to be the working electrode, where the oxidation and electrochemical reduction processes are studied. However, the use of the method described in this work can be extended to other testing environments and materials by taking into account the physical and chemical properties of the fluids and materials to be used in order to avoid any risk for the operator.

  • Patent number: 11928109
Abstract: Routines are used to connect bot queries entered via a bot interface and database queries executed on a database. Each routine is associated with routine configurations, including (a) query attributes associated with bot queries that trigger the routine, (2) a database query executed or to be executed for the routine, and/or (3) display settings for displaying information returned from the database query in a bot response. Each routine is configured to generate an output structured data object (SDO) indicating information returned from the database query and the display settings applicable to the information. The output SDOs from the various routines are transmitted to the bot application via a single API endpoint. The routine configurations are entered by a design user through one or more design user interfaces rendered by an integrative configuration application module.

  • Publication number: 20230008122
Abstract: A system for selecting a preferred intraocular lens for implantation into an eye includes a controller having a processor and a tangible, non-transitory memory. The controller is configured to obtain diagnostic data of the eye, and obtain historical data composed of historical sets of patient data. The controller is configured to analyze individual risk factors based on the diagnostic data and obtain a weighted combination of the individual risk factors. A respective satisfaction metric for the plurality of intraocular lenses is generated based on the historical data. A preferred intraocular lens may be selected based in part on the respective satisfaction metric and the weighted combination. A visual simulation for each of the plurality of intraocular lenses may be performed, based in part on the diagnostic data. The visual simulation may incorporate an impact of the tear film data.

  • Patent number: 11513812
Abstract: Many mobile devices are used for documenting different scenarios that are encountered by the users as they go about their daily lives. In many situations, a mobile device may be used to document the scenario. This data may be of significant forensic interest to an investigator. In many situations, the owner of the phone may be willing to provide the investigator access to this data (through a documented consent agreement). Such consent is usually contingent upon the fact that not all the data available on the phone may be extracted for analysis, either due to privacy concerns or due to personal reasons. Courts have also opined in several cases that investigators must limit data extracted, so as to focus on only “relevant information” for the investigation at hand. Thus, only selective (or filtered) data should be extracted as per the consent available from the witness/victim (user). Described herein is the design and implementation of such a targeted data extraction system (TDES) for mobile devices.

  • Publication number: 20220313080
Abstract: Disclosed are apparatus, systems, and methods for objectively assessing accommodation in an eye. For example, a method for objectively assessing accommodation can comprise displaying, at a far display, a stimulus target for a first duration and displaying, at a near display, the stimulus target for a second duration. The stimulus target displayed at the near display can be projected onto a first beam splitter positioned at an oblique angle with respect to the near display. The stimulus target displayed on the far display can be axially aligned with the stimulus target projected onto the first beam splitter. The method can also comprise obtaining, at a controller, measurements concerning refractive states of the eye during the first duration and the second duration from a refractor device in communication with the controller and determining, using the controller, an accommodative response of the eye based in part on the respective refractive states.

  • Publication number: 20220183547
Abstract: A system for predicting post-operative vignetting in an eye of a subject includes a controller having a processor and a tangible, non-transitory memory on which instructions are recorded. The controller is in communication with a diagnostic module adapted to store pre-operative anatomic data of the eye as an eye model. The system includes a projection module and a ray tracing module selectively executable by the controller. The projection module is adapted to determine imputed post-operative variables of the eye based at least partially on the pre-operative anatomic data and the intraocular lens. The ray tracing module is adapted to calculate propagation of light through the eye. The ray tracing module is executed to determine a light distribution for respective visual field angles across a predefined field of view. The controller is configured to determine one or more post-operative vignetting parameters based at least partially on the light distribution.

  • Publication number: 20210323426
Abstract: A system and method to house and/or charge electric vehicles, such as scooters, by resolving their integration into public spaces or establishments through a solution that preserves them from inclement weather as well as vandalism or robbery, while offering a bank that can be used, at the same time, to sit down. This avoids the serious problems that are generated when these vehicles occupy the sidewalks and other spaces and solves charging problems especially in fleet services. The bank can present individualized cabins with space for security elements such as vests or helmets, as well as media for remote management. Additionally, versions that incorporate a space for vending may be implemented.

  • Patent number: 10742037
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, according to one embodiment, includes: receiving an energy consumption profile which spans multiple intervals in a period of time, and predicting a net energy demand of a consumer system over the period of time. Moreover, a first multiple is determined which, when applied to the received energy consumption profile, produces an updated energy consumption profile which corresponds to an amount of energy that is capable of satisfying the predicted net energy demand of the consumer system. A greatest amount of underprediction is estimated. A greatest amount of overprediction is also estimated. Furthermore, an initial state of an energy storage device electrically coupled to the consumer system is computed according to the updated energy consumption profile. The initial state of the energy storage device is also based on a second multiple applied to each of the greatest amount of underprediction, and the greatest amount of overprediction.
