  • Publication number: 20200286442
Abstract: Display status agents executing on plural information handling systems coordinate presentation of visual images at plural displays by plural information handling systems through a display status memory external to the plural information handling systems, such as at a network location, a docking station or the displays. By referencing the display status memory, each display status agent determines information handling systems interfaced with each display and selects displays to present visual information based upon end user preferences to minimize manual interactions by an end user to accomplish a desired display presentation configuration.

Abstract: An activity monitoring device, methods and computer readable media are provided. The activity monitoring device includes a housing configured for attachment to a body part of a user and a display screen attached to the housing. Further included is a first sensor disposed in the housing for capturing motion of the activity monitoring device when attached to the body part of the user and a second sensor disposed in the housing for sampling a heart rate of the user. Memory is disposed in the housing for storing the motion captured by the first sensor and the heart rate sampled by the second sensor. A processor is disposed in the housing and is configured to determine a physical state of the user during a period of time. For motion that is below a threshold the processor identifies the physical state to be a sedentary state and for motion that is at or above the threshold the processor identifies the physical state to be an active state.

  • Patent number: 10730644
Abstract: Example methods and systems of deploying a constellation of spacecraft are described. An example method includes releasing a cluster of spacecraft from a launch vehicle at a first orbit, separating spacecraft in the cluster of spacecraft from each other to minimize overlap of visibility periods from a ground station, and raising each of the spacecraft as separated simultaneously in a synchronized ascent to a respective final orbit. An example system includes a cluster of spacecraft in orbit at a first orbit, and a ground station in communication with spacecraft of the cluster of spacecraft when the spacecraft of the cluster are visible to the ground station. The ground station commands each spacecraft to separate from each other and to raise in altitude as separated simultaneously in a synchronized ascent to a respective final orbit.

  • Patent number: 10608320
Abstract: Foldable wireless electronic devices that communicate wirelessly are provided that can attenuate the cavity modes created when the devices are folded. The electronic devices may utilize prescribed housing dimensions, ohmic contacts, and capacitive coupling to attenuate the cavity modes. There may be minimal impact on the industrial design of the devices. The radiation efficiency and VSWR of the antennas of the electronic devices may not be degraded. Also, the frequency of the cavity modes may be controlled such that the cavity modes are resonated out of frequencies of interest, and the severity and occurrence of RF energy absorption may be attenuated or eliminated. Users of the foldable wireless electronic devices may have increased satisfaction as the devices may perform better while still having desirable aesthetics and appearance.

  • Patent number: 10584048
Abstract: A process for obtaining random copolymers from itaconic acid and/or isomers and sodium alkenyl sulfonates is by polymerization in an aqueous solution via free radicals at an acidic pH in the range from 1.0 to 3.5 and with a redox system as initiator. The copolymers can be used as calcium carbonate and calcium, strontium and barium sulfates mineral scale inhibitors and as dispersants of clays, iron oxides, calcium carbonate and strontium, barium and calcium sulfates. Random copolymers prevent and control damage in an oil reservoir, obstruction of water injection and crude oil production pipelines, and in production rigs due to mineral scale precipitation caused by high levels of salinity of the injection water and formation water. Random copolymers are tolerant to high concentrations of divalent ions, such as calcium, magnesium, strontium and barium, and can be added to the reservoir and to injection or production pipelines, treated water, sea water and water that is used as means of transportation.

  • Patent number: 10457863
Abstract: The present invention refers to the formulation of a foaming agent for extreme conditions of salinity, temperature and concentration of divalent ions, including the improvement in the performance in these conditions with respect to the patent MX2008015989 A. Also, the design is presented of the experimental equipment used to characterize and evaluate foaming agents at laboratory level and conditions of pressure, temperature and salinity, in oil fields. The formulation of the foaming agent derived from this invention is a mixture of sodium alpha olefin sulfonates, alkylamido propyl betaines and triethanolamine, capable of giving it the benefit of being stable in temperature and salinity in a wide range, diluted in synthetic and congenital brines. This formulation is applicable for the control of gas mobility and improved oil recovery processes in naturally fractured reservoirs.

  • Patent number: 10442981
Abstract: The present invention is related to the obtaining and use of zwitterionic geminal liquids based on hydroxypropyl betaine, as wettability modifiers of rocks such as limestone, dolomite, sandstone, quartz or heterogeneous lithologies, in the presence of brines with high content of divalent ions as calcium, magnesium, barium and strontium, at high temperature and high pressure conditions during the application of enhanced oil recovery processes. The zwitterionic geminal liquids based hydroxypropyl betaine of the present invention have also the property of acting as inhibitors/dispersing of asphaltenes, both at extraction and production operations of petroleum industry, thus allowing to increase the level of crude oil production. An additional advantage presented by zwitterionic geminal liquid based on hydroxypropyl betaine which can be dissolved in distilled water, brine, aliphatic hydrocarbons or other polar and nonpolar solvents.

  • Publication number: 20190251700
Abstract: A depth detection device includes a stereo image recording device, a scaler and a depth determiner is provided. The stereo image recording device is configured to record a stereo image of a scene, and includes a first optical path for recording a first image of the stereo image, and a second optical path for recording a second image of the stereo image. The first optical path and the second optical path have different lengths. The scaler determines a scaling of the first image or of the second image, by minimizing differing lateral magnification of objects in the scene, and for performing the scaling. The depth determiner determines a depth map of the scene based upon the scaled stereo image.
