  • Patent number: 6109567
Abstract: Flight controls with automatic balance for use in control of the movement of an aircraft through a fluid system, the control system consists of ailerons divided into two parts, which at low speed adopt the shape of a conventional aileron and rotate in their entirety with the same degree and at high speeds, a part of it rotates or extends to a determinated angle by means of the actuator and the other part of the aileron, that is hinged or articulated to the main part of the aileron, rotates with reference to the main part as a function of the air speed pressure, opposing to this rotation by means of one or more springs.

  • Patent number: 6082668
Abstract: Improvement to aircraft and high speed vehicles, consisting of setting the vehicle nose in an upward inclination with a flat wall on the bottom which, running from the underside of the fuselage, is inclined forward until its upper zone. The inclined wall exploits the frontal incident air to create lift and, because of the angle which it forms, frontal drag is the same as that of a conventional vehicle fuselage, having the tail inclined downward with a flat wall in the upper part running from the top of the fuselage and sloping backwards as far as its bottom area, to exploit the suction of the rear air to create major lift and, because of its angle, the tail drag is the same as that of a conventional vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6053453
Abstract: The improvement to aircraft or high-speed vehicles in this invention comprises an elongated uniform fuselage with a flattened rectangular, oval or circular transverse cross-section, to take a form whose side view is a rhomboid with the longer sides horizontal and in which the inclined flat frontal surface is a ramp beginning in front at the top, dropping along and inclined backward until meeting the base, the inclined surface of the tail is parallel to the front surface, that is, with the rear surface beginning at the top, dropping along and inclined backward until meeting the base having the unions between the other, non-lateral surfaces suitable rounded.

  • Patent number: 6045088
Abstract: The aircraft air conditioning energy recovery device exploits the high level energy in relation to the exterior, in the air conditioning air flow required for renewal, and involves the placement of the aircraft outflow valve in a duct through which all the air flows the duct being arranged from the pressurized cabin to the inside of the engine inlet diffuser, through the pylon and in some cases through the wing, with the air-conditioning flow being fed back to the input air flow through multiple openings on the inside wall of the inlet diffuser. The openings or grooves run at a slight angle to the direction of flow to avoid turbulence. The air conditioning input may be introduced through hollow radial guide vanes attached at the front end to the vanes of the first stage of the low-pressure compressor and to the hollow vanes, open at the back, in the first stage or stages of the low-pressure compressor stator where the pressure is lower than that of the cabin air.

  • Patent number: 6039283
Abstract: A coiling system for thin steel strip which avoids problems of thin steel strip winding on its pinch rolls and assures that the strip is guided towards the predetermined coiling roll, thus decreasing operational delays and increasing productivity of a thin gage hot rolling steel strip mill. The system comprises a flap guide positionable in at least two positions, a first position contacting a pinch roll during the initial threading period of each strip to be coiled, and a second normal operating position without contact with said pinch roll when the strip is being wound in said predetermined coiler. The flap guide may also be used in multiple coiler rolls systems and may be adapted for automatic operation.

  • Patent number: 5931539
Abstract: A device to reduce weight or load on the spinal column for seats and the like that comprises two parts, the first being of two curved fins running from the edges of a chairback to adopt the anatomical form of the user's sides from the waist to the axillae, while the second is an elastic vest or corset covering the whole of the trunk from the waist to the axillae and shoulders. The vest secures at its top to the chairback by braces and fasteners or hooks. these braces secure to the back of an upward extension to the chairback.

  • Patent number: 5895015
Abstract: An automatic flap that uses on each wing two adjacent fins, one of which is smaller and is located on the middle or front of the wing, the other, which is larger, on the bottom rear of the wing, with a shaft in the common eccentric zone linking the two fins, said shaft being parallel to the axis of the wing, having the fins different resistance to the ram air, creating a rotation torque as a function of the aircraft's speed, when retracted, they are shaped so that the front or top fin adapts to the upper surface of the wing and the rear or bottom fin adapts to the lower surface so that, together with the wing, they form an aerodynamic profile, there are attachment arms between the two fins, and bands or springs to assist or complement the action of the smaller fin whose resistance is such that, at low speed, the flap remains extended.

  • Patent number: 5784978
Abstract: This invention is a wind energy catchment system using a central vertical shaft, the bottom end of which rotates and is secured to a rigid support fixed to the ground. The lower part of the shaft has radial arms secured to it, evenly spaced one from the other. The upper end of the shaft and the outer ends of the radial arms are all connected by cables or cords. The cables between the ends of the radial arms define a regular polygon; between it and the upper end of the shaft and the outside end of each radial arm and around the shaft, there are triangular, dihedral or trihedral sails all formed by triangular surfaces secured at their vertices. In all cases, the furthest external side of these sails is arranged between the top end of the shaft and the furthest external end of the associated arm, while the lower edge runs between the end of each arm and one or more points on the surface on the same plane as the radial arms.

  • Patent number: 5711494
Abstract: A hydrofoil comprising a flat vessel of aerodynamic profile which, together with small planes, produces an aerodynamic lift, and the broad base of the hull contains a set of flexible fins whose cross-sections reduce from relatively thick inner ends of relatively large cross-section to relative thin outer ends of relatively small cross-section, that are fixed at their thicker end, that are inclined toward the end opposite the forward movement of the vessel, constructed and arranged to meet the water at their large surfaces, and to generate a hydrodynamic lift, with air flow propulsion, by the, for example, propeller, turboprop, or turbofan type turbodrive engines in the upper part.

  • Patent number: 4564312
Abstract: A system for utilizing the energy of waves in the ocean, comprising a wall having a plurality of compartments separated by vertical and horizontal partitions. The water of a wave covers the entrance of a compartment and then enters the compartment, and the wave advance forces the air in that compartment through a conduit, past a non-return valve and into a storage tank, from which the compressed air may then be supplied to a turbine, or the like. The partitions between compartments assure that while the entrance to one compartment may be covered with water, whereby the air therein is forced to the storage tank, the air does not escape through other compartments which are not then covered.
