  • Publication number: 20240032425
Abstract: A multilevel thermoelectric cooling (TEC) stack channels thermal power away from an element to be cooled which is mounted on a substrate such as a circuit board and may generate an intrinsic heat load. The TEC stack has an inner TEC level which is in direct or indirect thermal contact with the element and an outer TEC level. At least one of the TEC levels includes a shaped thermal guard ring which is in thermal contact with the substrate. The thermal guard ring(s) define isothermal boundaries on the substrate, and effectively channel, or “wick”, thermal power away from the element to be cooled.

  • Publication number: 20240003774
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus for periodic water leak detection are disclosed. A method includes obtaining, using a water meter, water meter data representing the occurrence of water usage events at a property; determining, based on the water meter data, a periodicity of water usage events; determining that the periodicity of water usage events satisfies water leak criteria; and based on determining that the periodicity of water usage events satisfies water leak criteria, determining that a water leak exists at the property. Determining the periodicity of water usage events can include determining an average time between a start of sequential water usage events; and determining that the periodicity of water usage events satisfies water leak criteria can include determining that the average time between the start of sequential water usage events is less than a threshold time between the start of sequential water usage events.

  • Patent number: 11689233
Abstract: A circuit for direct current (DC) offset estimation comprises a quantile value circuit and a signal processor. The quantile value circuit determines a plurality of quantile values of an input signal and includes a plurality of quantile filters. Each quantile filter includes a comparator, a level shifter, a monotonic transfer function component, and a latched integrator. The comparator compares the input signal and a quantile value. The level shifter shifts the output of the comparator. The monotonic transfer function component determines the magnitude of the shifted signal and provide a transfer function signal. The latched integrator suppresses transient characteristics of the transfer function signal and provide the quantile value. The signal processor is configured to calculate a weighted average of the quantile values to yield a DC offset estimate.

  • Publication number: 20230181209
Abstract: A cartilage dicing device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes blades disposed in a housing configured to mitigate entry of the cartilage into the housing of the device. The device includes a number of circular blades used to dice the cartilage in a uniform fashion. The blades are disposed in a housing with a base that prevents the tissue from entering the body of the housing, which ensures that more of the tissue is available to be diced and used in a medical procedure. The blades are spaced at uniform distance.
