  • Patent number: 9874911
Abstract: The present principle generally relate to resetting of an electronic device, and particularly, to resetting of an electronic device to factory default of settings if a reset button is pressed for more than a certain amount of time such as, e.g., ten seconds. The amount of time the reset button is pressed is monitored by a bootloader program after a reboot of the processor. The present principles allow the use of the same reset button for two different functions: a normal power off-on reset and a reset to the factory default. The present principles also allow the electronic device to be reset to the factory default even if the main software of the electronic device is locked up (i.e., non-functioning).

  • Patent number: 9828222
Abstract: A lift assembly for a utility vehicle storage area includes a floor supported by a scissor mechanism, an actuator for raising the scissor mechanism and the floor from a neutral position to an elevated position, a plurality of rollers attached to the floor, guide members attached to the scissor mechanism and within which the plurality of rollers move, and a detent protruding into one of the guide members to resist rotation of at least one of the plurality of rollers and create a pivot point about which the floor rotates to a pivoted position. The floor may be rotated to the pivoted position from the neutral position, the elevated position, or any position between the neutral and elevated positions. In addition, the floor may be removed from the assembly by passing the first and second pairs of rollers through the cutouts in the guide members.

  • Patent number: 9759596
Abstract: The present invention, a cap for liquids with a visible float gauge, is comprised of a hollow, cylindrical cap made of transparent material, a color coded display of levels and/or a text display, and a fixed inner cylinder. The inner cylinder is attached to the cap top at its top end. The inner piece is concentrically placed in the cylindrical cap inside of the float gauge, and a float gauge is internally retained by the cap. The cap is then screwed on to a liquid reservoir as is found on a typical internal combustion engine, whereupon the float gauge floats on the liquid and is seen through the transparent part of the cap. The float gauge is the indicator, giving a liquid level reading.

  • Publication number: 20170238259
Abstract: The subject disclosure is directed towards a background transfer service that provides platform-level support for third party applications to queue data transfers to run in the background, including when the application is not running in the foreground. Applications may thus perform downloading and uploading tasks in the background; however the background transfer service manages the data transfer requests so as to limit each background application's ability to interfere with foreground application operations, that is, by controlling resource usage according to one or more policies.

  • Patent number: 9727630
Abstract: Systems and methods for serving dynamic content (such as advertisements) in response to dynamic content requests are presented. More particularly, systems and methods for serving dynamic content from dynamic content portfolios directed to trending events and/or topics are presented. Upon receiving a dynamic content request, content classifications corresponding to the requested, published content (i.e., the requested content) that included reserved dynamic content space which initiated the dynamic content request are determined. A current trend is identified in a content classification when the dynamic content request volume for the current trend period exceeds the standard/expected dynamic content request volume for the current trend period by at least a threshold amount. When a trend is detected, candidate content portfolios directed to the trending content classification are selected from a set trending content portfolios.
