Abstract: Some techniques feature a computer-implemented method for messages associated with a user location. The method involves determining, by a mobile computing device, an estimated geographic location of the mobile computing device. The method includes receiving, at the mobile computing device, one or more messages associated with an area within the estimated geographic location, where the one or more messages include messages posted by users of a system that associates messages that those users posted about the area within the estimated geographic location. The method involves providing, on a display of the mobile computing device, one or more posted message icons that are presented in a layer over a map, where the one or more posted message icons represent the one or more posted messages. In a system, the one or more posted messages may not appear on mobile devices after a predetermined amount of time from their respective postings.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus search for documents in a data memory. A search query and a set of documents stored in the data memory are prescribed. For each document in the set of documents a respective computer-evaluatable description of the document is generated. The document is broken down into document portions. For each document portion at least one result of deciphering of the document portion is ascertained, wherein for at least one document portion a plurality of deciphering results are ascertained and stored. For each document in the set of documents a measure of the match between the document and the search query is calculated. For calculating the measure of match between a document and the search query, a degree of match is calculated for each stored possible deciphering result. The calculated degrees of match are taken as a basis for selecting at least one document in the set.

Large peer to peer networks comprise millions of peer clients, or just briefly peers, having enormous amounts of data objects available. Searching all peers takes a lot of time, therefore a small group—private network—is formed within the peer to peer network. Peers for this private network are selected when they satisfy at least on criterion. This criterion relates to for example subscriptions of the peer to data delivery services or to the search query. The private network or networks may be formed upon start-up of the apparatus according to the invention or even right after submitting a search query.

An apparatus for releasing such a connection bolt arrangement includes two levers that are pivotably connected to each other, a stamping actuator arranged between respective first ends of the two levers, a pulling extraction device mounted at the second end of the first lever, and a pushing block mounted at the second end of the second lever. Abstract: A method for deploying interactive applications over a network containing host computers and group messaging servers is disclosed. The method operates in a conventional unicast network architecture comprised of conventional network links and unicast gateways and routers. The hosts send messages containing destination group addresses by unicast to the group messaging servers. The group addresses select message groups maintained by the group messaging servers. For each message group, the group messaging servers also maintain a list of all of the hosts that are members of the particular group. In its most simple implementation, the method consists of the group server receiving a message from a host containing a destination group address. Using the group address, the group messaging server then selects a message group which lists all of the host members of the group which are the targets of messages to the group. The group messaging server then forwards the message to each of the target hosts.
