Patent number: 9402672Abstract: A joint distraction device for use in an arthroscopic surgery is provided. The device has a joint distraction mechanism, situated in between two bone fixation surfaces, and is capable of changing the relative distance between these two surfaces. The force generated by the mechanism should be sufficient to insert bone spikes affixed to the surfaces into bone, as well as distract the joint to create a sufficient enough gap to allow the intended procedure. With the surfaces and spikes engaged to bone at opposite sites of a joint, an increase in distraction force results in an increase in the relative distance results, hence increasing the space within the joint. Embodiments of this invention, compared to fracture table approaches, effectively eliminate the risk of pudendal nerve injury, allow for longer surgical times, and allow for much more controllable joint distraction.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2014Date of Patent: August 2, 2016Assignee: THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE LELAND STANFORD JUNIOR UNIVERSITYInventors: Eric Fayez Chehab, Archana Appukuttan Nair, Chad Alexander Sitgraves, Marc Raymond Safran

Publication number: 20160203438Abstract: A method, system, and corresponding apparatus are provided for translating components of a data set from a barcode to complete an information set. In particular, a method may include receiving a first data string corresponding to a first scanned barcode; decoding the first data string according to the first barcode format to generate a first data payload; and identifying, by a processor, from the first data payload a first set of rules for extracting information from the first data payload. Methods may include extracting information from the first data payload according to the first set of rules to obtain one or more components; translating the one or more components of the first data payload into at least one translated component; and providing for display of the at least one translated component.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 24, 2016Publication date: July 14, 2016Inventors: Jacob Hookom, Marc Raymond

Publication number: 20160136690Abstract: A screening apparatus 10, including a plurality of elongate beams 11, a plurality of screen panels 14 mounted to the beams to form a broad screening surface, each of the panels 14 being generally square or rectangular and the panels 14 being mounted adjacent to each other so that facing side edges of adjacent panels 14 are in close facing relationship. Each panel 14 being mounted to a pair of beams 11 along opposite side edges to bridge between two adjacent beams11. The panels 14 being mounted to the beams 11 by elongate fixing members 13 that extend in the longitudinal direction of the beams 11 and that are fixed to an edge of the beams 11 and that engage opposite side edges of the panels 14. The fixing members 13 are fixed to the edges of the beams 11 by projections 24, 25 that are spaced apart longitudinally of the fixing members 13 and that extend into openings 18, 19 provided in the edge of the beams 11.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 18, 2015Publication date: May 19, 2016Applicant: Lettela Pty LimitedInventors: Marc Raymond Woodgate, Raymond Maxwell Woodgate

Patent number: 9250023Abstract: An explosion-proof enclosure including at least one heat exchanger for active thermal management. Equipment within the enclosure produces heat within the enclosure, while the at least one heat exchanger removes heat produced from the equipment and manages the internal temperature of the enclosure to a level suitable for hazardous locations.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2012Date of Patent: February 2, 2016Assignee: Cooper Technologies CompanyInventors: Joseph Michael Manahan, Marc Raymond Kozlowski

Patent number: 9200782Abstract: The present disclosure provides a multi-directional light fixture having a single orientation light source. The multi-directional light fixture includes a light source orientated towards a semi-reflective lens. The semi-reflective lens allows a portion of the light it receives from the light source to be reflected upwards, providing uplight from the light fixture. The lens also allows a portion of the light it receives from the light source to be transmitted therethrough, providing downlight from the light fixture. Thus, the light fixture provides both uplight and downlight while the light source is oriented downwards.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2013Date of Patent: December 1, 2015Assignee: Cooper Technologies CompanyInventors: Joshua Richard Erickson, Marc Raymond O'Leary

Publication number: 20150283583Abstract: A screen panel 15 for mounting to a vibratory screening apparatus that includes a plurality of beams 11 to which screen panels 15 can be mounted. The screen panel 15 comprises a square or rectangular frame 21 including a pair of spaced apart and parallel side frame members 25 and a pair of spaced apart and parallel end frame members 38 connected to the side frame members 25. The frame 21 defines an upper edge and the side and end frame members define a square or rectangular outwardly facing surface. The frame 21 is connectable to a pair of adjacent beams 11 by connectors 20 that connect with the outwardly facing surface of the side frame members 25. The screen panel 15 also comprises a square or rectangular screen 22 connected to the frame 21 which extends over the upper edge of the frame 21 and forms a square or rectangular skirt 33, 36.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 7, 2015Publication date: October 8, 2015Applicant: Lettela Pty LimitedInventors: Raymond Maxwell Woodgate, Marc Raymond Woodgate

Patent number: 8992649Abstract: Enclosures for use in hazardous areas include sintered filters for thermal management. The enclosures include an opening to which a filter holder housing and sintered filter are coupled. The enclosures can also include a second opening to which a vent or a second filter holder housing and sintered filter are coupled. The internal temperature of the enclosures can be actively managed by such a system because air within the enclosure can be displaced to and from the atmosphere through the sintered filters. Air from the atmosphere enters the enclosure via the second opening and exits the enclosure via the first opening.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2013Date of Patent: March 31, 2015Assignee: Cooper Technologies CompanyInventors: Joseph Michael Manahan, Marc Raymond Kozlowski

Patent number: 8727127Abstract: A screening apparatus includes beams and screen panels forming a broad screening surface. Each panel is mounted to a pair of beams along opposite side edges to bridge between two adjacent beams. The panels are mounted to an upwardly facing edge of the beams by elongate fixing members extending in the longitudinal direction of the beams. The fixing members engage opposite side edges of the panels and include a pair of projections that extend into openings provided in the edge of the beams. Each projection is engaged by a locking clip to prevent release from the openings. The openings into which the projections extend are of greater diameter than the outside diameter of the projections providing a loose fit within the openings, to allow movement of the fixing rails and the screen panels before the projections are engaged by a locking clip.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2012Date of Patent: May 20, 2014Assignee: Lettela Pty LimitedInventors: Raymond Maxwell Woodgate, Marc Raymond Woodgate, David Charles Alexander James Waller

Publication number: 20120209896Abstract: A system and method for file sharing comprises receiving at a server tags corresponding to files of a user. The tags are based on information from the files and are associated with the user. Each of the tags is stored in a list associated with the user and compared to a list of tags previously stored by the server. The list of tags previously stored by the server includes tags associated with a plurality of different users and having corresponding files stored by the server. The server receives a file of the files which correspond to the tags in the list associated with the user if a corresponding tag of the file is not in the list of tags previously stored by the server. The user is provided access to files stored by the server which correspond to the tags stored in the list associated with the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 10, 2011Publication date: August 16, 2012Inventor: Adam Marc Raymond
