  • Publication number: 20200410872
Abstract: A base module may be used to receive and house one or more unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) via one or more cavities. The base module receives commands from a manager device and identifies a flight plan that allows a UAV to execute the received commands. The base module transfers the flight plan to the UAV and frees the UAV. Once the UAV returns, the base module once again receives it. The base module then receives sensor data from the UAV from one or more sensors onboard the UAV, and optionally receives additional information describing its flight and identifying success or failure of the flight plan. The base module transmits the sensor data and optionally the additional information to a storage medium locally or remotely accessible by the manager device.

  • Patent number: 10803494
Abstract: An online system receives an advertisement request (“ad request”) including an advertisement from a user and allows the user to create an alternative advertisement for the ad request comprising images presented in an order specified by the user. The online system may identify images from video data included in the ad request or from additional content associated with an object associated with the ad request. Based on selections of identified images by the user and an order in which to present the selected images from the user, the online system generates the alternative advertisement and associates the alternative advertisement with the ad request. One or more criteria are associated with the alternative advertisement, and the online system communicates the alternative advertisement to client devices having characteristics satisfying the criteria rather than video data in the advertisement.

  • Publication number: 20200184706
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) may couple to a sensor payload device that includes cameras, radar, lidar, and/or other sensors. The UAV, coupled to the sensor payload device, may fly within the airspace of and/or around a property and capture images and/or sensor measurements of the property. The images and sensor measurements may be certified so that they may be verified as unaltered by viewers. A 3D representation of the property may be generated, and defects in the property may be detected by comparing the 3D representation to media depicting property defects. A report identifying the defects may be generated.

  • Publication number: 20200174809
Abstract: A method for electronic device virtualization and management includes transmitting a signal to a server from a client. The signal is initiated by a user of a user interface of the client. The user interface of the client presents at least two devices to the user, which the user may interact with. The signal may include a power cycling instruction directed to at least one of the devices. When the server receives a communication back from the at least one device, it may send the information to the client, where the user interface may be updated in response to the communication. The devices may be controlled with other instructions, such as scheduling instructions, firmware update instructions, and configuration backup instructions. If a power device is virtualized, it may be controlled on a port-by-port basis.

  • Publication number: 20200151363
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating certified images and incident reports are disclosed. An image capture device can be used to capture an image and integrate metadata from camera sensors as well as other ancillary device sensors into the image. The image and its metadata can then be certified upon a check that the image and its metadata are authentic and unaltered. The image and its metadata can then be included in or as a part of an incident or other report describing an incident or event such as an accident or a crime. The image and/or incident report may be maintained at a cloud-based server for viewing, authorized editing, and subsequent distribution.

  • Patent number: 10397065
Abstract: A method for real-time monitoring and characterization of network conditions experienced by a client device coupled to a WLAN via at least one access point is presented. One or more primary performance parameters of the WLAN for a given operating interval of the client device uplink to the access point are received. At least one derived performance parameter based on the one or more primary performance parameters is computed. Trends of the primary performance parameter and the derived performance parameter are analyzed to identify occurrence of at least one problem signature. A situational awareness state characterizing the network conditions based on the at least one problem signature is defined. The situational awareness state is further processed to identify the occurrence of at least one transient fault condition in the WLAN.
