  • Patent number: 11171396
Abstract: A polarizing screen includes an arrangement of at least one, electrically conductive, polarizing cell, which at least one cell is frequency- and polarization-selective, for transforming the polarization of the electric component E of the transverse electromagnetic (TEM) wave, received with linear polarization, into an electromagnetic wave with circular polarization. The four lateral walls of each section of waveguide forming a polarizing cell are each open over their entire length due to a median continuous slot, parallel to the direction of propagation of the incident electromagnetic wave, so as to form four angled electrically conductive plates.

  • Publication number: 20210316890
Abstract: A sterile procedure for the filing of solids into pharmaceutical containers and the sealing thereof under sterile conditions is provided. Exemplary containers include syringes, vials, capsules, ampoules, single-dose devices or cartridges. The containers can be filled with powder, granules, nanoparticles or microparticles. After sealing, the containers are airtight. More specifically, the procedure minimizes adherence of those solids to the interior surfaces of the containers during the filling and sealing steps, thus ensuring airtightness of the seal and precision of the weight of the solid dispensed into the containers.

  • Patent number: 10822249
Abstract: On example of a fluid dispensing system includes an unfiltered water container body defining an internal storage volume configured to hold a volume of water, a fluid outlet arranged for fluid communication with the internal storage volume, and a filter element positioned in the internal storage volume. With this configuration, a water dispensing process can be performed in which a single continuous stream of unfiltered water from the unfiltered water container body can pass through the filter element and be dispensed from the unfiltered water container body as a stream of filtered water. A water soluble tablet with an additive is positioned in the internal storage volume downstream of the filter medium such that the filtered water can pass out of the filter element and into contact with the water soluble tablet before being dispensed from the fluid outlet.

  • Patent number: 10487359
Abstract: Method of diagnosing fibromyalgia based on microRNAs. The invention provides a method for the molecular diagnosis of fibromyalgia patients, based on the analysis of the possible alteration of the levels of specific microRNAs in peripheral blood mononuclear cells. The method comprises the analysis of the levels of the microRNAs miR-223, miR-451, miR-338, miR-143 and miR-145 and the diagnosis of fibromyalgia when at least one, or preferably several thereof have decreased levels with respect to a reference value, which preferably is the level of each microRNA in healthy individuals. Three additional microRNAs are also provided, miR-21, miR-1260b and miR-1908, which can be used as negative controls to confirm the diagnosis. The method facilitates an objective diagnosis of fibromyalgia based on molecular markers that are determined from a sample such as blood, which is easy to obtain and process.
