  • Publication number: 20080131593
Abstract: The present invention provides systems and methods of printing contact lens molds in an inert atmosphere for use in manufacturing tinted contact lenses. Disclosed herein are inert atmosphere chambers and isolation shutters that are capable of quickly opening and closing to permit printing of contact lens molds in such a fashion that prevents migration and entrainment of air into the inert atmosphere chamber. Contact lens mold printing systems are also disclosed that are useful for printing contact lens molds in an inert atmosphere.

  • Publication number: 20070197237
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method that sends information about a wireless communication system access point to a server. The method receives the access point information at the mobile station from the server. The method enables the mobile station to access the wireless communication system through the access point by using the access point information. In some embodiments, the access point information is sent from the server to the mobile station using a short message service (SMS) message. In some embodiments, the access point information includes the SSID and the MAC ID of the access point.

  • Patent number: 7255824
Abstract: An apparatus for molding a plastic closure includes a male mold assembly including a forming pin and an outer pin sleeve which cooperate with a female mold for defining a mold cavity. To facilitate mechanical stripping of a molded closure from the forming pin, pressurized air is introduced into the molded closure through at least one air passageway which extends axially between the forming pin and pin sleeve. By outwardly expanding and forming the plastic closure during ejection from the forming pin, forces to which the closure is subjected during ejection are significantly reduced, thereby desirably reducing the amount of cooling of the closure that is required during the molding cycle prior to ejection. Significantly increased operating speeds for the compression molding apparatus can thus be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20060244952
Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for inspection of molded closures that would measure specific parameters of the closure on an on-line basis as they are ejected from an associated compression molding apparatus. Measuring specific parameters of the closure on an on-line basis identifies problems with specific tool sets, sub-systems, and process settings of the molding apparatus, thus substantially reducing the amount of scrap that is produced.

  • Publication number: 20060208740
Abstract: A testing device and method for testing a printed circuit board (PCB) for a remote keyless entry fob includes a battery simulator cell to simulate the effects of a remote keyless entry fob battery. The battery simulator cell is located in an upper portion of a testing device housing and is preferably a brass or copper mass of the same size, shape and mass of a typical battery. The lower portion of the housing has a mount for the PCB. At least one circuit board locator is mounted to the upper portion of the housing to apply pressure to the PCB to retain the PCB in the correct position during testing, and to ensure the proper distance between the PCB and the battery simulator cell. A receiving antenna is located proximate the test device for receiving a signal.
