  • Publication number: 20240086395
Abstract: Methods for enhancing compatibility of a document of an entity with an organization's database on a computer server to facilitate detection of a fraudulent submission. Methods may include receiving a populated document in a first format from the entity, using a processor to digitize the document into a digital format, such as bytes, and further into a second format, where the first format may not be compatible with the database and the second format may be compatible with the database. Methods may include using the processor, optionally running a statistical model, to determine an entity identifier, a predicted value of a data field in the document, and whether there is a difference between the value in the predicted data field and a corresponding value in the populated document. Methods may include implementing a corrective action, such as raising a fraud alert at the organization, when there is a difference.

  • Publication number: 20240077679
Abstract: Methods and systems concerning demultiplexing and multiplexing light in optical multiplexing systems are disclosed herein. An optical multiplexing system may include a number of light emitters and a number of associated waveguides. Light emitted from each of the number of light emitters may travel through the associated waveguide and may enter a multiplexer, where a multiplexing operation may occur. At least one of the number of light emitters may be configured to emit light with multiple wavelengths. Such a light emitter may further be associated with a demultiplexer to demultiplex the light with multiple wavelengths before the light reaches a multiplexer. After a demultiplexing operation, the demultiplexed light may be directed to multiple waveguides and the multiple waveguides may guide the demultiplexed light to a multiplexer.

  • Patent number: 11907085
Abstract: Various methods, apparatuses/systems, and media for implementing a smart failover module is disclosed. A processor detects an application specific system fault or degradation event in a first availability zone (AZ) on which an application is running during normal runtime of the application; determines, in response to detecting the application specific system fault or degradation event, whether the application includes an active-passive application infrastructure in which the first AZ is paired with a passive AZ; enables traffic, in connection with running or deployment of the application, on the passive availability zone in response to determining that the application includes an active-passive application infrastructure; and disables traffic from the first AZ on which the application specific system fault or degradation has been detected in response to determining that the application does not include an active-passive application infrastructure and/or in response to enabling traffic on the passive AZ.

  • Patent number: 11906778
Abstract: Configurations for an optical splitter are disclosed. The optical splitter may include an input waveguide, a free propagation region, and an array of output waveguides. The input waveguide may be sufficiently narrow that the light in the free propagation region may diffract and provide the same optical intensity at far field angles across a wide wavelength range. The input waveguide may have a high V number in a vertical dimension and a low V number in a horizontal dimension. Because all of the wavelengths of light diffract at the same angle in the free propagation region, once the light reaches the output waveguides, the light may have similar optical power at each of the output waveguides. Additionally, the output waveguides may vary in width and spacing to mitigate the non-uniform optical power distribution of the phase front of light.

  • Patent number: 11895588
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for maintaining timing precision in different operating modes of a device (e.g., a wireless node). A timing circuit may switch clock signals between two different modes (e.g., high power and low power) while preserving timing precision. In a high-power mode, the timing circuit may provide a high frequency clock signal, and in a lower-power mode, it may provide a low frequency clock signal. Moreover, the switching between the different clock signals may be synchronized to select edges of the low frequency clock signal.

  • Publication number: 20240036267
Abstract: A method of terminating an optical fiber having an inner core with a fiber optic connector including a ferrule having a micro-bore and an end face with a mating location is disclosed. The method includes determining a bore bearing angle of a bore offset of the micro-bore in the ferrule; determining a core bearing angle of a core offset of the inner core in the optical fiber; orienting the ferrule and the optical fiber relative to each other to minimize the distance between the inner core and the mating location; heating the ferrule to an processing temperature above room temperature; and coupling the optical fiber to the micro-bore of the ferrule. The size of the micro-bores and optical fibers may be selected to maximize the number of interference fits in a population of ferrules and optical fibers while minimizing failed fittings between the ferrules and optical fibers in the populations.
