  • Publication number: 20240288306
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining one or more properties of a sample are disclosed. The systems and methods disclosed can be capable of measuring along multiple locations and can reimage and resolve multiple optical paths within the sample. The system can be configured with one-layer or two-layers of optics suitable for a compact system. The optics can be simplified to reduce the number and complexity of the coated optical surfaces, etalon effects, manufacturing tolerance stack-up problems, and interference-based spectroscopic errors. The size, number, and placement of the optics can enable multiple simultaneous or non-simultaneous measurements at various locations across and within the sample. Moreover, the systems can be configured with an optical spacer window located between the sample and the optics, and methods to account for changes in optical paths due to inclusion of the optical spacer window are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240257405
Abstract: In computer graphics, texture refers to a type of surface, including the material characteristics, that can be applied to an object in an image. A texture may be defined using numerous parameters, such as color(s), roughness, glossiness, etc. In some implementations, a texture may be represented as an image that can be placed on a three-dimensional (3D) model of an object to give surface details to the 3D object. To reduce a size of textures (e.g. for storage and transmission), the present disclosure provides, in one embodiment, for compression of a texture set using a non-linear function and quantization. In another embodiment, the disclosure provides for compression of one or more textures using a non-linear function configured to compress textures with an arbitrary number of channels and/or an arbitrary ordering of channels.

  • Patent number: 12052848
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided to facilitate the cooling of different configurations of cards within a chassis, e.g., a card riser cage. Embodiments disclose telescoping air dams that may be reconfigured to adapt to different combinations of half height and full height cards to fill vacancies in the chassis, hindering the flow of air through those vacancies, thereby redirecting the flow elsewhere and improving the cooling of the cards. By being reconfigurable, embodiments improve the ease that card cages may be reconfigured by reducing the number of parts necessary for such reconfigurations.

  • Publication number: 20240248587
Abstract: A system enables universal remote media control across multiple platforms, devices, and users. A protocol allows a cast controller to have access to media operations and a state(s) associated with media content. The system receives commands from a cast controller, provides the commands to a media player, loads new media content into the media player, based on the commands, and receives state notifications from the media player. Another cast controller can receive the state notifications from the media player and control the media player based on the media operations and state(s) associated with media content.

  • Patent number: 12045703
Abstract: A computer-implemented method can facilitate delivery of targeted content to user devices in situations in which historic tracking data (e.g., cookie data) is generally unavailable and/or unreliable. A p-dimensional embedding of websites can be generated based on a group of user devices for whom tracking data is available. Conversion event data that indicates indicating whether that audience member performed a conversion action can be received. A machine learning model can be trained using the conversion event data and the positions of websites appearing in the conversion event data within the p-dimensional embedding to predict a likelihood of conversion and/or a type of content to provide given a position in the p-dimensional embedding. When an indication that a user device is accessing a website is received, a position of that website in the p-dimensional embedding can be determined and targeted content can be delivered to the user device.

  • Patent number: 12001262
Abstract: In-flight operations in an inbound data path from a source memory to a convolution hardware circuit increase computational throughput when performing convolution calculations, such as pooling and element-wise operations. Various operations may be performed in-line within an outbound data path to a target memory. Advantageously, this drastically reduces extraneous memory access and associated read-write operations, thereby, significantly reducing overall power consumption in a computing system.
