    Abstract: Techniques and apparatuses are described that perform screen protector presence detection. In example aspects, an electronic device detects the presence (or absence) of a screen protector based on touch screen data provided by a touch screen during a time period that a user performs a touch-based gesture. With the touch screen data, screen protector presence detection can be performed without the need for additional sensors and without placing manufacturing requirements on the screen protector. Furthermore, this technique can support the detection of a variety of different screen protectors, including screen protectors with different types of materials and thicknesses.

    Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are provided for registering image data with robotic data for image-guided robotic catheters and other elongate bodies. Fluid drive systems can be used to provide robotically coordinated motion. Precise control over catheter-supported tools is enhanced by alignment of fluoroscopic and ultrasound image data, particularly for structural heart and other therapies in which the catheter will interact with soft tissues. A marker plate having a planar array of machine-readable 2D barcode markers may facilitate alignment of image and robotic data. Determining an ultrasound-based pose of a component in the ultrasound image field allows that component to effectively a fiducial for alignment.

The scanning device is configured to illuminate an object of interest with a burst light pattern at one or more intervals and receive a set of reflected images reflected off the object of interest. The processing device is configured to receive the set of reflected images from the scanning device and convert the set of reflected images into a three-dimensional model of the object of interest. The burst light pattern comprises a first image and a second image in succession. One of the first image and the second image is a structured light image and the other of the first image and the second image is an unstructured light image.

In one embodiment, the input device includes a light homogenizer configured to receive the laser light and provide to the first end of the waveguide a spatially uniform intensity distribution of the laser light. In another embodiment, a heat dissipater is provided adjacent to the waveguide and configured to dissipate heat generated within the waveguide by the generation of the luminescent light.
