  • Publication number: 20250140032
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for offloading aircraft data. The aircraft data are received over a network data collection interface associated with an aircraft recording system (ARS). The ARS is adapted to produce aircraft-data messages via a message-broker proxy related to the data received. An associated message is received, and it is determined whether an event has occurred via an event detector process interface. Next, a tag is applied to the event based upon a determination that the event has occurred. The tagged event is then published via the message broker. A published event is received and then recorded to a file via a media recording process interface. It is then determined which data to offload from a recorded event file via a file manager. The associated data is then transmitted via a data offload pathway to a data hub.

  • Publication number: 20250109636
Abstract: Lateral access control in downhole window joint is provided via a window joint. The window joint includes an interior cavity with a first end and a second end opposite to the first end, a first opening defined at the first end, and a lateral opening through a wall of the window joint and into the interior cavity between the first end and the second end. The window joint also includes a deflector where, in a first state, the deflector permits access between the first end and the second end and, in a second state, the deflector blocks access between the first end and the second end and permits access between the first end and the lateral opening by deflecting an object travelling through the lateral opening. The window joint also includes an access control system configured to transition the deflector between the first state and the second state.

  • Publication number: 20250104492
Abstract: Aircraft recording system configuration devices and methods are disclosed. The systems and methods provide a context-sensitive interface for rapid configuration. An aircraft recording system is operatively coupled to a data collection interface that is powered off and in an unconfigured state upon an initial installation of the aircraft recording system configuration device onboard an aircraft. A physical interface is disposed on an outer surface of the aircraft recording system configuration device, such that activating the physical interface causes an initial configuration of the aircraft recording system to be established. An indicator is further provided that disposed on the outer surface of the aircraft recording system configuration device, wherein the indicator is configured to indicate different states of the aircraft recording system.

  • Publication number: 20240407518
Abstract: A hair styling device and a hair styling method are described, for imparting a wave to a section of hair, the device having a first forming member, a second forming member, and a hair-receiving region between the first forming member and the second forming member. A primary driving element is movable relative to the first forming member and the second forming member and is adapted to move the section of hair in the hair-receiving region in a hair-deforming direction. The device has a secondary driving element, movable relative to the first forming member and the second forming member, and adapted to move the section of hair in the hair-receiving region in a direction opposed to the hair-deforming direction. The secondary driving element can thereby drive the section of hair into a more relaxed position to produce a more natural looking wave.
