  • Publication number: 20230256220
Abstract: An applicator for an analyte monitoring device may include an actuatable housing having a body defining a cavity therein and having a distal opening and a side opening. A cuff and a shuttle are received within the cavity and are separately translatable relative to the housing body. A base may removable engage the housing body at the distal opening. The housing body, the cuff, the shuttle, and/or the base may be engaged with one another with one or more releasable coupling features. The base may be removed from an engagement with the housing body, causing the cuff and the shuttle to be aligned and positioned in a configuration in which the analyte monitoring device, held by the shuttle, is ready for insertion into the skin.

  • Patent number: 11712007
Abstract: The present invention discloses a new landscape edging system in which multiple adjacent edging sections are interconnectable prior to inserting stakes. An edging section is provided. A first transition extends from one end and a second transition extends from the opposite end. A first slot extends to the midpoint of the first transition. A second slot extends to the midpoint of the second transition. A connector extends outwardly from each transition. Each connector has an upper and lower tab. The first slot receives the second transition of an adjacent edging section as the second slot receives the first transition of the adjacent edging section. This interlocks the edging sections together. As interlocked, the upper and lower tabs on the connectors form a rectangular structure for receiving a V-shaped stake. Stake tabs on the stake engage the upper tabs top secure the edging system to the soil.

  • Patent number: 11707906
Abstract: A system and method is provided for proactive process intervention in manufacturing creped products via a chemical feed stage and a Yankee dryer stage. The method includes generating signals from a plurality of online sensors, corresponding to directly measured variables for respective process components such as, e.g., pH, conductivity, and Yankee blade vibration. Models are developed including retrievable information relating combinations of certain directly measured variables to respective quality characteristics of the creped product. The method further includes indirectly determining quality characteristics (e.g., softness, bulk) for the creped product, substantially in real time, based on, e.g., signals corresponding to directly measured variables, and optionally a predicted natural coating potential.

  • Patent number: 11694252
Abstract: Provided herein are systems, methods and computer readable media for proving gift giving within a group. Consumers may register for a gift giving program, create a group and invite other consumers to participate. Group members may be randomly assigned to a group, or assigned to a group based on an invitation or indicated group. Relationships between gift givers and recipients within a group may be determined, such as in a randomized format. Gift givers may purchase a gift, such as a good or a promotion from a promotion and marketing service. The promotion and marketing service may assign the promotion to the recipient so that the recipient may redeem the promotion for a good, service, or experience. Promotions may be automatically purchased on behalf of a gift giver who fails to purchase the promotion by a gift-giving deadline.

  • Publication number: 20230204250
Abstract: A friction fit vent cover is configured for installation into a ventilation opening in a building surface. The friction fit vent cover includes a main frame, a pair of side panels and at least one friction fit assembly. The at least one friction fit assembly includes a spring, preferably a compression spring, which is able to be moved into an energized position (such as a compressed position). The pair of side panels are in communication with the spring and are able to slide relative to the main frame. In use, the pair of side panels are frictionally held against bordering sides of a ventilation opening when the spring is in the energized position, thereby holding the friction fit vent cover therewithin.
