  • Patent number: 12282408
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for adapting digital trial to increase protocol compliance and retention. In some implementations, a system accesses (i) study data indicating a type of data to be collected in a research study and (ii) attribute data indicating attributes of participants in a cohort for the research study. The system identifies a set of technology items that are each capable of collecting the type of data indicated by the study data. The system determines a predicted level of compliance for each of the technology items in the set. The system selects a technology item for participants in the cohort to use in the research study based on the predicted levels of compliance. The system updates records for the research study to specify the selected technology item.

  • Publication number: 20250125790
Abstract: A phase shifter for altering the phase of a radio frequency signal is disclosed herein. A Lange coupler is used having reflective ports that are coupled to artificial transmission lines. The artificial transmission lines provide a reflection transmission path, the length of which can be determined by digital control lines. Transistors placed along the length of the central trace provide independent paths to ground that serve to shorten the electrical length of the ATL. Accordingly, by selectively turning the transistors on/off, the electrical length of the ATL can be selected and thus the amount of phase delay introduced by the phase shifter.

  • Patent number: 12254717
Abstract: An interactive portrait system includes a camera configured to capture imagery of an environment and a controller. The controller is configured to analyze the imagery to identify a guest in the environment, instruct an output device to provide an initial output to attempt to interact with the guest, and analyze the imagery to identify a behavior of the guest during the initial output, after the initial output, or both. The controller is also configured to evaluate the behavior of the guest using one or more artificial intelligence algorithms to determine whether the guest responded to the initial output. The controller is further configured to, in response to determining that the guest responded to the initial output, instruct the output device to provide an additional output to continue to attempt to interact with the guest.

  • Patent number: 12248389
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for monitoring technology usage and data quality in decentralized pharmaceutical trials. In some implementations, a system receives data collected using one or more technology items for participants in a clinical trial that involves use of a pharmaceutical by the participants. The system evaluates usage of the one or more technology items by the participants in the clinical trial at multiple times during the clinical trial to determine whether the participants use the one or more technology items according to a protocol for the clinical trial or whether the collected data provides a level of data quality needed. The system determines, based on the evaluation, that one or more requirements for the clinical trial are not satisfied. In response, the system provides a notification to one or more devices of a researcher associated with the clinical trial.

  • Publication number: 20250068439
Abstract: A method includes determining a state of the user that is any one of an attention state and an attention absence state. If the user is in the attention absence state, the indication by the progress indicator is modified to indicate a first fake progress of the execution of the task slower than the current real task progress. If the state of the user is the attention state for a time period longer than a transition time period after a last transition of the state of the user from the attention absence state back to the attention state, a current progress of the execution of the task is indicated by the progress indicator, otherwise the indication by the progress indicator during the transition time period is modified to indicate a second fake progress of the execution of the task faster than the current real task progress.
