  • Publication number: 20240264795
Abstract: An attraction system includes a display that operates to present augmented reality and/or virtual reality (AR/VR) imagery to a guest in an interactive space. The system includes an audio controller that operates an array of speakers that are distributed throughout the interactive space and a controller having one or more processors. The one or more processors are operable to receive data indicative of a state of the guest (e.g., an action, movement, or gesture of the guest, an input received from an input device). The one or more processors are also operable to adjust the AR/VR imagery in response to the state of the guest, and instruct the audio controller to operate the array of the speakers to provide interactive audio based on the state of the guest and such that the interactive audio presents to the guest as though originating from a dynamic portion of the AR/VR imagery.

  • Patent number: 12041434
Abstract: This application relates to audio driving circuitry (100), and in particular to audio driving circuitry for outputting first and second audio driving signals for driving a stereo audio load (106), which may be a stereo audio load of an accessory apparatus (102) removably coupled to the audio driving circuitry in use. A load monitor (111) is provided for monitoring to monitor, from a monitoring node (112), an indication of a common mode return current passing through a common return path, together with an indication of a common mode component of the first and second audio driving signals and to determine an impedance characteristic of the stereo audio load. The load monitor (111) can provide dynamic monitoring of any significant change in load impedance. In some embodiments the load monitor (111) comprises an adaptive filter (301) which adapts a parameter of the filter which is related to the load impedance so as to determine the indication of load impedance.

  • Publication number: 20240235988
Abstract: Packets in a data communications network are encapsulated by an encapsulation module on a sending computer and decapsulated on the receiver computer, the transmission of data packets being controlled by credit sent by the receiving computer to avoid causing congestion. The encapsulation module varies fields in the packets that are used by switches to determine the path to the destination, so as to distribute the load of a transfer across a plurality of paths to the receiving computer. The sending and receiving computers use per path packet delivery, loss, latency and packet trimming information to detect abnormal network behavior and submit alerts and summary statistics to a monitoring station. The monitoring station uses this information to detect network bottlenecks and other faults and to localize them to specific switches or links.

  • Publication number: 20240200291
Abstract: Protector bollards, barrier posts and barrier bails are commonly used to protect structures from accidental collisions from vehicles operating in the area. However, they are regularly damaged by such collisions, and once they are damaged the protection they provide is much reduced, and repairs are often complex and expensive. The inventions provide bollards, posts and rails that include resilient members that are designed to absorb the energy from typical collision impacts without being permanently deformed. The use of resilient materials, and the allowance for a degree of flexure, allows the bollards, posts or rails to move to some degree while absorbing the collision loads, and then to return to their original shape or orientation without the need for expensive repairs.
