  • Patent number: 11021950
Abstract: A sensor comprising three electrodes forming two electrode pairs, each pair having a gap between the electrodes, is disclosed. An electrically insulating layer is disposed in the gap of one electrode pair. The sensor may include a RC oscillator circuit connected to the electrode pair having the insulating layer such that the electrode pair contributes to the capacitance of the circuit. The sensor may include a power supply connected to the other electrode pair to provide a voltage across and current through material in the pair's gap. The sensor may be disposed in a borehole to allow borehole fluid to enter the gaps and the RC oscillator circuit and power supply may be operated to provide a measure of capacitance and resistance characteristics of the borehole fluid.

  • Patent number: 10391617
Abstract: The disclosed canopy caddy utilizes a pair of wheeled lifting and rotating mechanisms. The canopy caddy allows a person to remove a canopy from a truck bed, rotate it to a vertical position, and roll it to another location such as for storage. In one example, the user can accomplish these tasks alone or with minimal assistance and little danger of damage to the canopy. The term canopy used herein is intended to encompass but not be limited to small open box covers having lateral outward edges which rest upon the upper edges of a truck bed and provide additional covered storage. The term canopy used in this disclosure is intended to also encompass those apparatuses known as tonneau covers as well as some camper tops.

  • Publication number: 20140101083
Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing data, the data including: a set of one or more system inputs; and a set of one or more system outputs; wherein each system output corresponds to a respective system input; each system input includes a plurality of data points, a first data point in the plurality and a second data point in the plurality being from a same raw data source, and the first data point being pre-processed using a different pre-processing method relative to a pre-processing method used to pre-process the second data point, the method including: for each of the first and second data points, inferring a value indicative of a significance of the pre-processing method used to pre-process that data point; wherein the inferring includes performing a machine learning algorithm on a given system input from the data and a further system input.

  • Patent number: 8551713
Abstract: The present invention relates to a series of markers and a method of determining cause of death post-mortem by quantifying thymus integrity. An examination of thymuses from human infants suffering mortal head trauma revealed a disruption of the cortical-medullary organization of the thymus, particularly involving dissolution of the cortical-medullary border. A similar result was obtained for related mouse and rat models. The human thymuses from head trauma cases also displayed a higher percentage of Ki67-positive thymocytes.

  • Patent number: 7497932
Abstract: The present invention provides an electro-chemical deposition system that is designed with a flexible architecture that is expandable to accommodate future designs and gap fill requirements and provides satisfactory throughput to meet the demands of other processing systems. The electro-chemical deposition system generally comprises a mainframe having a mainframe wafer transfer robot, a loading station disposed in connection with the mainframe, one or more processing cells disposed in connection with the mainframe, and an electrolyte supply fluidly connected to the one or more electrical processing cells. Preferably, the electro-chemical deposition system includes a spin-rinse-dry (SRD) station disposed between the loading station and the mainframe, a rapid thermal anneal chamber attached to the loading station, and a system controller for controlling the electro-chemical deposition process and the components of the electro-chemical deposition system.
