  • Publication number: 20180048325
Abstract: In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, a processing system may include a plurality of processing paths and a controller. The plurality of processing paths may include a static processing path configured to generate a first digital signal based on an analog input signal and a dynamic processing path configured to generate a second digital signal based on the analog input signal, wherein a parameter of the dynamic processing path is determined based on a characteristic of the analog input signal. The controller may be configured to select the first digital signal as a digital output signal of the processing system when a change is occurring to the characteristic and select the second digital signal as the digital output signal in the absence of change occurring to the characteristic.

  • Patent number: 9880802
Abstract: A processing path may include a controller and a plurality of processing paths including a first processing path and a second processing path. The first path may be configured to generate a first digital signal based on an analog input signal and the second path may be configured to generate a second digital signal based on the analog input signal, wherein the first path has a lower gain and a higher noise floor than the second path. The controller may be configured to determine that a transition between the first path and the second path needs to occur based on the analog input signal crossing a threshold or a prediction that the input signal will cross the threshold and in response to determining the transition between the first path and the second path needs to occur, blend the transition during or near zero cross points of the analog input signal.

  • Patent number: 9715805
Abstract: A personal protective device is combined with a cellular telephone. Activation of either device causes activation of the other device. Activation is achieved by a switch or voice command. Upon activation, a message asking for assistance at the present location is sent to a previously agreed upon emergency contact. The smartphone also starts both audio and video recording, which are also part of the data sent to the emergency contact person or service. Additionally, the personal protective devices are integrated into a unit that may combine such items as a protective spray, Taser, strobe light, dye pack, siren and other deterrent technologies to ward off would-be attackers. These devices are integrated into a hand held unit that can be unobtrusively worn or carried in a purse or pocket or in the user's hand. • Publication number: 20170032673
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for providing driver alerts. For example, a client device module (e.g., a smartphone, a vehicle navigation unit, etc.) may collect driving behavior information (e.g., braking patterns, vehicle speed, weather conditions, acceleration/deceleration patterns, etc.) and/or user specified information (e.g., a number of passengers) of a driver driving a vehicle. The client device module may provide the driving behavior information and/or the user specified information to a driver alert provider. The driver alert provider may maintain a driver profile for the driver based upon the driving behavior information and/or the user specified information. The driver alert provider may generate a driver alert (e.g., a driver risk score of the driver) based upon the driver profile, and may provide the driver alert to other drivers that are within a threshold distance of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 9539692
Abstract: A material-removing machine for removing material from a cone section of a medical balloon includes a material-removing element operatively connected to a prime mover such that operation of the prime mover imparts rotation to the material-removing element about a rotational axis. The material-removing element includes an interior surface defining a generally conical-shaped cavity extending along the rotational axis and adapted to receive at least a longitudinal portion of a cone section of an expanded medical balloon for removing material from the longitudinal portion of the cone section to reduce a wall thickness of the cone section. Material may be removed continuously around a 360-degree exterior perimeter of the longitudinal portion of the cone section of the medical balloon to reduce the thickness of the balloon wall defining the cone section.
