  • Publication number: 20210260382
Abstract: Presented herein are techniques for adapting/transitioning operation of a medical prosthesis, such as an auditory prosthesis, from a first or initial group of settings to a second or target group of settings. The adaptation in the operation of the medical prosthesis from the first group of settings to the second group of settings occurs over a period of time and in a series of individualized (recipient-specific) incremental steps. That is, the adaptation process occurs in incremental steps that are set based on attributes/characteristics of the recipient of the specific medical prosthesis so that the adaptation is made as unobtrusive to the recipient as possible.

  • Patent number: 11089723
Abstract: A closing wheel assembly used in planting or other agricultural endeavors. The closing wheel assembly is configured to allow each individual wheel to both vary in angle having an increased pitch so as to more effectively pinch the soil (or other ground cover) so as to fully cover the newly planted seed. The closing wheel assembly is used in connection with a planter so as to more effectively close the trench formed by the planter and fully cover the newly planted seed. The closing wheel generally includes an arm extending behind the planter and over a first closing wheel. The present invention comprises a second closing wheel provided behind the first closing wheel where the second closing wheel may be positioned at a different angle and provided at an approximate 5° pitch to effectively pinch the soil back in place after planting.

  • Patent number: 11063601
Abstract: Techniques are provided for implementing a file system format for persistent memory. A node, with persistent memory, receives an operation associated with a file identifier and file system instance information. A list of file system info objects are evaluated to identify a file system info object matching the file system instance information. An inofile, identified by the file system info object as being associated with inodes of files within an instance of the file system targeted by the operation, is traversed to identify an inode matching the file identifier. If the inode has an indicator that the file is tiered into the persistent memory, then the inode it utilized to facilitate execution of the operation upon the persistent memory. Otherwise, the operation is routed to a storage file system tier for execution by a storage file system upon storage associated with the node.

  • Patent number: 11007713
Abstract: An additive manufacturing system includes a powder delivery system, an area scanning laser, a build chamber, and a controller. The powder delivery system provides a predetermined amount of powder material to the build chamber, and includes a material dispenser, a dispensing head, and a scraper. The scanning laser selectively sinters the powder material, and includes a mirror galvanometer for raster scanning. The build chamber has an annular configuration, and includes an inner annular wall that defines a central portion disposed inward of the build chamber. A portion of the delivery system and the laser are located in the central portion. The chamber continuously rotates under the head and under a sintering zone generated by the laser as the delivery system continuously dispenses the material. The laser continuously raster scans the material at the sintering zone in a raster pattern to sinter a layer of material directly to a preceding layer.
