Abstract: A method and apparatus of monitoring computer devices operating on a network is disclosed. One example method may include discovering and monitoring a plurality of network devices operating on a network. The method may include scanning the network to discover various network devices and determining a device type of each of the network devices. The method may also include determining attributes corresponding to each of the network devices, monitoring the attributes corresponding to each of the network devices and compiling a list of attribute information based on the monitoring operation and storing the list of attribute information in a memory. The device discovery and monitoring may be performed autonomously without user intervention allowing computer devices to be discovered and monitored as they are added to the network.

  • Patent number: 10262277
Abstract: In general, embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods and computer readable media for automated dynamic data quality assessment. One aspect of the subject matter described in this specification includes the actions of receiving a data quality job including a new data sample; and, if the new data sample is determined to be added to a reservoir of data samples, sending a quality verification request to an oracle; receiving a new data sample quality estimate from the oracle; and adding the new data sample and estimate to the reservoir. A second aspect of the subject matter includes the actions of receiving, from a predictive model, a judgment associated with a new data sample; analyzing the new data sample based in part on the judgment to determine whether to send a new data sample quality verification request to an oracle; and, if a new data sample quality estimate is received from the oracle, determining whether to add the new data sample and the judgment to the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 10257503
Abstract: An autostereoscopic display device has a particular design of display panel for use with a forming arrangement having non-slanted view forming elements (being for example a lenticular or parallax barrier array). The display panel sub-pixels incorporate a slant into their shape. The display panel is designed to enable low slant angles while still enabling efficient mapping of the 2D display panel pixels to the 3D pixels, allow for square 3D sub-pixels on rectangular grid which gives better distribution of color components with improved uniformity and improved rendering in 3D mode.

  • Patent number: 10247951
Abstract: A display has an array of light emitting display pixels occupying pixel areas, and a polarizing light transmissive area between the pixel areas. This polarization can be used to improve the contrast ratio of a transparent 2D display. However, it can also be used to enable a transparent 3D display to be formed without distortion of the see-through transparent display function. For this purpose, the light emitting display pixels can emit polarized light orthogonal to the polarization provided by the light transmissive area.

  • Patent number: 10234690
Abstract: An autostereoscopic display comprises a pixelated display panel comprising an array of single color pixels or an array of sub-pixels of different colors and a view forming arrangement comprising an array of lens elements. The pixels form a square (or near square) grid, and the lenses also repeat in a square (or near square) grid. A vector p is defined which relates to a mapping between the pixel grid and the lens grid. Regions in the two dimension space for this vector p are identified which give good or poor banding performance, and the better banding performance regions are selected.

  • Patent number: 10227202
Abstract: A method and associated system are provided for cutting and placing individual nose wires in a facemask production line. A continuous wire is supplied from a supply source to a cutting station in the facemask production line where the continuous wire is cut into individual nose wires having a defined length. A first web is conveyed to a vacuum conveyor, and the individual nose wires are deposited from the cutting station onto the vacuum conveyor such that the nose wires are drawn by vacuum against the first web at a defined spacing and orientation. With the vacuum conveyor, the first web and attached nose wires are conveyed to a folding station wherein the first web and nose wires are combined with a second web such that the nose wires are encapsulated between the first and second webs.

  • Publication number: 20190057327
Abstract: Systems, computer-implemented methods and/or computer program products that facilitate airline operations and planning management are provided. In one embodiment, a system utilizes a processor that executes computer implemented components stored in memory. A model generation component generates a model of a set of influencers that affect the airline operations. An input component receives data regarding state of a subset of the influencers. An impact component employs the model to determine impact of the state of respective influencers on the airline operations. A scheduling component modifies the airline operations as a function of the determined impact. An update component updates the model to improve model fidelity as a function of collected airline performance data that becomes available after the airline operations have been modified by the scheduling component.

  • Publication number: 20190050102
Abstract: A sensor device comprising a passive matrix array of electroactive sensor elements arranged in rows and columns. In one example, each sensor element generates a binary sensor signal such that a total signal at each row and at each column enables any pattern of external inputs to be determined. This provides a first way to determine a pattern of sensor elements which are sensing an input using a passive matrix addressing scheme. In another example, each sensor element generates a sensor signal with a different frequency characteristic. This provides another way to enable any pattern of external inputs to be determined.
