  • Patent number: 10432082
Abstract: An electrical power input adapter coupled to a direct current (DC) bus in a power distribution system receives either an alternating current (AC) power signal or a DC power signal at a first voltage level to transmit to the DC bus. An electrical converter receives and converts the received signal to a DC power signal at a second fixed voltage. A second interface includes a current limiter to receive and limit an amperage of the DC power signal at the second voltage. A programmable switch coupled to the current limiter receives the DC power signal at the second voltage and at the limited amperage and transmits the DC power signal at the second voltage and at the limited amperage. A controller coupled to the programmable switch controls when, within a period of time, the programmable switch is to transmit the DC power signal at the second voltage and at the limited amperage.

  • Patent number: 10397557
Abstract: A display backlight comprises an edge-lit lightguide having an array of light out-coupling structures to enable light to escape from the lightguide at the location of the light out-coupling structures. A light source arrangement is used for providing light into the lightguide at one or both of the opposite side edges. The light source arrangement is controllable to provide a selected one of at least first and second light outputs into the lightguide, the two light outputs having a different angle to the general plane of the lightguide and resulting in light which escapes from the lightguide with a different range of exit angles. In this way, a directional backlight output is enabled, based on the way light is coupled into a lightguide. This provides a simple structure only requiring control of the light provided to the lightguide. The backlight may for example enable an auto stereoscopic display to be formed without the need for a lenticular array.

  • Publication number: 20190257119
Abstract: A key holder designed for use with manual key switches affixes a key onto a control box. The key holder includes a rotor housing, a key rotor, and a threaded opening. The key is mounted into the key rotor before being inserted into the control box. Further, the key rotor is rotatably mounted into the rotor housing via the threaded opening. The key rotor includes an interior face, an exterior face, a threaded body, and a key slot. The interior face and exterior face are positioned opposite each other about the threaded body. The key slot traverses through the threaded body. To connect the key rotor to the rotor housing, the threaded body is screwed into the threaded opening. This transforms the rotational motion into the linear motion of the key rotor, which along with the locking feature of the manual key switch, prevents the key from rotating.

  • Publication number: 20190258954
Abstract: In general, embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods and computer readable media for automated dynamic data quality assessment. One aspect of the subject matter described in this specification includes the actions of receiving a data quality job including a new data sample; and, if the new data sample is determined to be added to a reservoir of data samples, sending a quality verification request to an oracle; receiving a new data sample quality estimate from the oracle; and adding the new data sample and estimate to the reservoir. A second aspect of the subject matter includes the actions of receiving, from a predictive model, a judgment associated with a new data sample; analyzing the new data sample based in part on the judgment to determine whether to send a new data sample quality verification request to an oracle; and, if a new data sample quality estimate is received from the oracle, determining whether to add the new data sample and the judgment to the reservoir.
