Patent number: 8752678Abstract: A disc brake is arrangeable in a space that accommodates a brake caliper having an application device. The brake caliper is held slidably with guiding elements on a brake carrier, which is fastened with screws to an axle connection at the vehicle. The caliper straddles a brake disc, against which brake pads can be pressed on either side while braking. At least the brake pad on the application side is mounted movably in the direction of the brake disc in a pad shaft of the brake carrier. A device for the visual identification of the wear of a brake pad and/or brake disc is constructed so that for identifying wear, a pointer element, extending in the opposite direction to the brake disc, is connected at least at one screw.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 2011Date of Patent: June 17, 2014Assignee: KNORR-BREMSE Systeme fuer Nutzfahrzeuge GmbHInventors: Markus Gruber, Thomas Reno

Patent number: 8662261Abstract: A brake pad holder of a disc brake, in particular for a commercial vehicle is provided, wherein brake pads assigned to both sides of a brake disc are held by a respective pad-holding spring in a spring-loaded manner in a pad shaft of a positionally fixed brake anchor plate or of a brake caliper. A pad-holding clip, which extends in the axial direction of the brake disc and is fastened to the brake caliper, is supported on the brake pads. The brake pad holder is designed such that the pad-holding clip has at least one limb which extends approximately radially with respect to the brake disc and enters into a recess of at least one brake pad.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2010Date of Patent: March 4, 2014Assignee: KNORR-BREMSE Systeme fuer Nutzfahrzeuge GmbHInventors: Christian Raffin, Markus Gruber, Wlodzimierz Macke, Thomas Lehner

Patent number: 8606274Abstract: A handover method is provided, in which a measure of signal strength is obtained between a user terminal and each of one or more candidate cells, relative to signal strength between the user terminal and a source cell. For candidate cells, a threshold is set that depends on a measure of loading of the source cell and a measure of loading of the candidate cell. For the target cell, a particular candidate cell is identified for which the measure of signal strength exceeds the threshold set for that particular cell. The user terminal is connected to the target cell. In specific embodiments, the threshold for each candidate cell depends on a load differential between the source cell and the candidate cell.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 2011Date of Patent: December 10, 2013Assignee: Alcatel LucentInventors: Simon C. Borst, Hajo Bakker, Iraj Saniee, Markus Gruber

Publication number: 20130310043Abstract: The invention relates to a method for performing a handover of a mobile device from a source cell to a target cell in a cellular wireless telecommunication network, the method comprising the following steps: configuring the mobile device to transmit a first handover trigger signal to the source cell, when a difference between a signal strength of the target cell and a signal strength of the source cell as measured by the mobile device is above a first threshold (105; determining (S1) if a cell traffic load in the source cell is above a cell traffic load threshold; if so, configuring the mobile device to transmit a second handover trigger signal to the source cell, when a difference between a signal strength of the target cell and a signal strength of the source cell as measured by the mobile device is above a second threshold (100), wherein the first threshold is larger than the second threshold.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2011Publication date: November 21, 2013Applicant: ALCATEL LUCENTInventors: Hajo Bakker, Lutz Ewe, Markus Gruber

Patent number: 8300624Abstract: The invention provides a signalling method in a first base station of a mobile communications system adapted for synchronized multimedia broadcast/multicast transmissions, the first base station transmitting to a wireless terminal, the mobile communication system further comprising a set of base stations neighboring the first base station, the method comprising: transmitting a signal describing the set of base stations over a broadcast channel by the first base station to at least a wireless terminal. Further, a first bit of the signal indicates if a first subframe allocation pattern of synchronized subframes per radio frame in the first base station equals a second subframe allocation pattern of synchronized subframes per radio frame for all base stations of the set of base stations. The set of base stations neighboring the first base station are candidates for starting a transmission to the wireless terminal.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2009Date of Patent: October 30, 2012Assignee: ALCATEL LUCENTInventors: Dietrich Zeller, Markus Gruber

Patent number: 8054806Abstract: In a wireless network, for example, an LTE network, the context information relating to a mobile terminal UE is transmitted to a plurality of network nodes eNB 2, 3 and 4 from a source network node, eNB 1. One of the eNB 2 is a handover target node and also reserves resources for the UE in anticipation of receiving it after handover. The other eNBs 3 and 4 do not reserve resources. In the event of radio link failure, the UE may attach to one of the designated eNBs 3 and 4 that have not reserved resources, but that do recognize the UE because they have received its context. The method reduces the likelihood of the UE needing to go via the time consuming IDLE state while only reserving resources at a handover target eNB.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 2008Date of Patent: November 8, 2011Assignee: Alcatel LucentInventors: Osman Aydin, Hajo-Erich Bakker, Heidrun Grob-Lipski, Markus Gruber, Stephen Kaminski, Klaus Keil, Sudeep Kumar Palat

Publication number: 20110079470Abstract: A bellows arrangement on a guide bar of a disc brake, particularly of a commercial vehicle, has an end of the bellows comprising a sealing ring, particularly a quad ring, lying in a circumferential groove of the guide bar. The bellows is pressed into the groove by a retaining ring placed thereon, and is designed so that an air passage can form in the contact area of the sealing ring at the base of the groove, reducing the volume enclosed by the bellows and the guide bar. To this end, the contact shoulder formed on the retaining ring is circumferentially interrupted in segments.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 7, 2010Publication date: April 7, 2011Applicant: KNORR-BREMSE Systeme fuer Nutzfahrzeuge GmbHInventors: Markus GRUBER, Christian Raffin
