  • Publication number: 20130340537
Abstract: A force sensor for measuring forces comprises a sensor plate where at least one measuring resistor is arranged whereby deformations of the sensor plate can be detected as a result of forces to be measured. The sensor plate includes at least one local weakened area whereby deformation behavior of the sensor plate is influenced. The weakened area results in bypassing the flux of force in the sensor plate and in concentrating the forces at non-weakened portions of the sensor plate. The at least one measuring resistor is preferably arranged at such non-weakened deforming portion of the sensor plate. The at least one weakened area defines sensor plate portions separated from at least in sections, the sensor plate portions being exposed to opposite forces. The sensor plate can be mounted in a housing with an evaluation circuit, for example, and constitute a force sensor having compact dimensions and high measuring sensitivity.

  • Patent number: 8550780
Abstract: A device serves the purpose of sealing a rotating shaft for use under water. It exhibits face seals which seal a work area against the water. In accordance with the invention the face seals are constructed in the form of three slide ring pairs, wherein between the three slide ring pairs two areas (18, 21) are arranged. One of the areas is a sealing area adjacent to the water filled with a first medium and the other area is a leaking area adjacent to the work area. In the sealing area the first medium is held at a pressure level which is higher than the pressure of the adjacent water.

  • Patent number: 8363542
Abstract: An approach provides a reset trigger signaling in a network, wherein a reset trigger is generated, which carries a device indicator for indicating a target device. To trigger a reset procedure, the reset trigger is signaled over the network by using a protocol layer lower than a network layer. At a network entity, it is checked whether the device indicator indicates this network entity; and the reset procedure is initiated in response to the result of this checking. Thereby, the reset trigger works independent of the network topology and will reach the destination device, even if a higher protocol layer is blocked due to error situations, so that a robust and flexible reset signaling procedure can be provided.

  • Patent number: 8325491
Abstract: A device for fastening an electronic module on a mounting rail and an electronic module fastened with the device on a mounting rail are provided. The device has a displaceable nose, encompassing a profile of the mounting rail together with a stationary nose provided on the back of a housing of the electronic module. The displaceable nose is configured as a clamping profile of a slide. By plugging in mechanical anchorings, the device is mounted in recesses of the housing on the back of the electronic module. The device has a spring mechanism provided to support the electronic module on the housing. A clamping force of the device on the mounting rail results from a force to the slide applied by the spring mechanism. An end of the slide opposite of the displaceable nose protrudes beyond the housing of the electronic module for the manual displacement of the displaceable nose.
