  • Patent number: 9548952
Abstract: In order to edit, in a transmission-efficient manner, multimedia news before sending or receiving such news, the existing user data volume (VOL) of a piece of multimedia news (MM) is determined prior to, during, and after putting together such piece of multimedia news (MM). At least one application reducing the original user data volume (VOL) of such piece of multimedia news (MM) is supplied and run in case a predefined user data volume threshold (SGx) or an upper price limit (SPx) is exceeded.

  • Patent number: 9412122
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for transferring user data objects, wherein a data providing component provides user data objects. According to the method, the data providing components are called up by a first telecommunication device in order to transfer a selection of certain user data objects to a second telecommunication device. The data providing component transmits a transfer offer message to the second telecommunication device in order to inform the latter on the user data objects that are to be transferred. At least one useful data object is then selected in a second telecommunication device, whereupon the user data object is transferred from the data providing component to the second telecommunication device. The user data object which is transferred to the second telecommunication device is then charged to the first telecommunication device.

  • Patent number: 9166985
Abstract: In a method for prioritizing telecommunications networks in a telecommunications terminal, a user data object is stored in the telecommunications terminal, and the user data object is assigned an access parameter which permits access to the user data object depending on which telecommunications network the telecommunications terminal is registered into. The telecommunications networks are prioritized using the access parameter.

  • Patent number: 8924578
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for transmitting messages, a transmission message containing one or more useful data objects is first transmitted to a switching component in order to be routed to a second telecommunications device, wherein the transmission is made by a transmitting telecommunications device. A plurality of variants of the one or more useful data objects is created in the switching component in accordance with a set of parameters, the second telecommunications device is then informed of the provision of the plurality of variants of the data objects for transmission to the second telecommunications device. Also, a delivery request message relating to a specific variant of the useful data objects is subsequently sent from the second telecommunications device to the switching component. The switching component then transmits a delivery message containing the requested variant of the useful data objects to the second telecommunications device.

  • Publication number: 20140220947
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for transmitting data, a subscriber terminal, a computer program product, and a communications system that provides a sender of data or of a message with additional possibilities for sending data with a higher degree of flexibility for the error-free adaptation of every combination of data and data formats to a given communications system and/or provides the sender with an MMS user application. To this end, a data type and/or data format conversion (KONV) is carried out according to a profile of the recipient (B), whereby a respective reference (LK) to the maintaining of the validity f this reference (LK) is accordingly changes in the data and/or between different data elements of the data type and/or data format conversion (KONV).

  • Patent number: 8762282
Abstract: An apparatus and method for transferring encrypted useful data objects (NDO) to a first telecommunication terminal (TG1), wherein at least one encrypted useful data object is initially transferred from a switching component to the first telecommunication terminal. Time information (SABS) is transferred from the switching component to the first telecommunication terminal indicating up to which moment in time a rights object (RO) associated with the at least one encrypted useful data object will arrive. Once the rights object received by the first telecommunication terminal, the telecommunication terminal checks if the moment in time indicated in the time information has elapsed. If the moment has not elapsed, the first telecommunication terminal issues a signal relating to the receipt of a useful data object via a user interface.

  • Patent number: 8549110
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for transmitting data between a subscriber terminal (MT) and at least one service providing component (MMS-Server 1, MMS-Server 2, MMS-Server 3) associated with a service provider, which are connected to each other by a network (UTRAN, SGSN, GGSN). According to said method, when a communication link is set up between the subscriber terminal and the service providing component, access information for the at least one service providing component is requested by a storage means associated with the subscriber terminal. By providing exclusively specific access information for specific service providing components on said storage means associated with a subscriber or a subscriber device, such as a SIM card or a USIM application on a UICC card, the network operator can prevent a subscriber from using other service providing components of other specific service providers different from those prescribed thereto when a specific data service is requested.

  • Patent number: 8131824
Abstract: The invention aims at providing a method, a subscriber terminal, a computer program product and a communication system, wherein a sender has the possibility of influencing the signaling signal in a terminal of a recipient and configuring individually and with greater freedom a signaling signal by choosing one or more data formats that can be sent in an MM standard, particularly when transmitting an MM. According to the invention, this is achieved in that an element causing immediate display of said element is identified as a signaling signal (S) when the data and/or a predetermined partial amount of data have arrived.

  • Patent number: 7970710
Abstract: A method for carrying out the premium-based recommendation of content objects that can be downloaded to a mobile terminal includes the following steps: transmitting a first content object DRMC from a content provider IA to a first terminal EG A; transmitting a first rights object RO A from a rights provider RA to the first terminal; transmitting the content object DRMC*, together with an identification of the first terminal, from the first terminal to the second terminal EG B, and; requesting a second rights object RO B from the rights provider RA via the second terminal EG B, whereby the second rights object RO B permits the second terminal EG B to use the content object. In addition, the identification of the first terminal EG A is conveyed to the rights provider RA, and the rights provider can subsequently assign a premium to the first terminal EG A.
