  • Publication number: 20040066778
Abstract: A method for transmitting data, especially text messages, via communication networks such as Internet or mobile radio telephone services to a selection of addresses contained in a distribution list, Automatic compensation occurs in a network element managing the distribution list between the distribution list and an exclusion list added to the data that is to be transmitted, prior to forwarding said data.

  • Publication number: 20040057403
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for sending an MMS-message, in particular for sending an e-mail, a fax and/or an SMS, from a first subscriber device (O-UA) in an MMS-enabled system (O-KS) to a second subscriber device (O-UA, R-UA, R-ES, fax, telephone). According to the invention, the MMS-message is converted before being forwarded to the second subscriber device (R-ES, fax, telephone), if the second subscriber device is not connected to an MMS-enabled system (O-KS, R-KS1), or cannot receive MMS-messages. The invention also relates to an interface device (O-RS) for converting and forwarding the MMS-message and to a subscriber device (O-UA) for specifying the message format.

  • Publication number: 20030119552
Abstract: A method for storing MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service)-related information, related method for accessing MMS-related information, related storage medium, related apparatus and related software programs, wherein the information is stored on at least one storage medium connected to a mobile communication apparatus which supports MMS services or a device connected to such a mobile communication apparatus, with the at least one storage medium being disconnectable from the apparatus or the device.

  • Publication number: 20030096598
Abstract: A method, a subscriber terminal, a computer program product and a communications system are proposed via which an initially displayed image of data is preset essentially freely for a receiver, and an element is tagged in order to allow this element to be displayed as soon as the data is opened.

  • Publication number: 20030086438
Abstract: A method, and associated apparatuses and software programs, which makes it possible to manipulate, for example to recall or to replace, a first message, preferably sent using a mobile radio system and/or the Internet, in particular a multimedia message, preferably of the MMS type, using a second message sent at a time after the first message. This increases the user friendliness for the users of such systems.

  • Publication number: 20030081555
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and software programs which are used to facilitate the flow of information in terms of functionalities in the domain of at least one service provider, in particular of a multimedia message in the UMTS, this functionality having been requested by a subscriber (for example, reply charging or recall of the message), wherein the present invention proposes transmitting information which reveals whether implicated network units in the domain of service providers support the requested functionality and proposes limiting the maximum size of the reply messages for reply charging.

  • Publication number: 20030073450
Abstract: Given that a sender of a multimedia message is generally unclear about the whereabouts of the message if the message has first been stored in a mailbox for the receiver and the receiver has neither been able to be notified about this message in the mailbox nor has downloaded the message, a connection unit associated with the receiver produces a notification which is then sent to a sender connection unit and on to the sender, and the type of notification required by the sender, or other, can be coded in the header of the send request in which the sender sends the multimedia message, wherein the receiver receives individual feedback about the whereabouts of the multimedia message.

  • Publication number: 20030067909
Abstract: A method is provided for setting up a communications link between a first terminal, which is connected to a network based on an Internet protocol, and a second terminal, which is likewise connected to a network based on an Internet protocol. The method involves connecting a storage medium on which the IP address of the second terminal is stored to the first terminal. The storage medium then reads in the IP address of the second terminal, and finally a communications link is set up from the first terminal to the second terminal over the network using the IP address which has been read. By virtue of the IP addresses of a user's terminals being stored in the storage medium, the user merely needs to insert the storage medium into one of the terminals in order to set up a communications link between two of his/her terminals, the IP address of the further terminal being automatically read out for the communications link without the user needing to remember one of the IP addresses.
