  • Publication number: 20210246852
Abstract: A filter element has a filter medium folded in a star shape that surrounds annularly a longitudinal axis of the filter element and is flowed through radially from exterior to interior. The filter element has a primary air passage and a secondary air passage. In the filter medium, a cutout is formed that penetrates a plurality of folds of the filter medium. A passage socket at which the secondary air passage is formed extends through the cutout. An air filter provided with a filter housing having a raw air inlet, a primary air outlet, and a secondary air outlet, has such a filter element that separates in the filter housing a raw side communicating with the raw air inlet from a clean side. The primary air outlet communicates through the primary air passage and the secondary air outlet through the secondary air passage with the clean side, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20200129059
Abstract: A method for determining the visual acuity, wherein two spaced outer markings and an orientation marking lying between but not on a straight connecting line are displayed to the user on a display in an individual test as part of a plurality of tests. The user is to move the orientation marking on the display perpendicularly to the straight connecting line by actuating the device until the user perceives the marking as lying on the straight connecting line. Afterwards, the electronic device registers the effective distance between the orientation marking and the connecting line. At least two tests are carried out in which the outer markings are arranged along the same main axis, and at least the vertical main axis and the horizontal main axis are measured. After the manipulation, the effective distance from the individual tests of the series is used for ascertaining the visual acuity.

  • Publication number: 20200052497
Abstract: A method is described for charging an accumulator having terminals at which a terminal voltage is applied. The method includes the following steps: (a) charging the accumulator using a predefined current or a predefined electrical power until the terminal voltage has reached a predefined first value; (b) determining a time-dependent drop in the terminal voltage of the accumulator at a reduced charge current; (c) determining a second value on the basis of the voltage loss, the second value being greater than the first value; and (d) charging the accumulator using a predefined current or a predefined electrical power until the terminal voltage of the accumulator has reached the second value.

  • Patent number: 10210317
Abstract: A mechanism is provided for verifying an identity of a user using dynamically generated questions based on transactions conducted by the user. Responsive to receiving a request to verify the identity of the user, one or more transaction based sources associated with the user are scanned for a set of transactions conducted by the user within a first predetermined time frame of a current time. A subset of transactions from the set of transactions are randomly selected as the basis for forming a set of questions to be used to verify the identity of the user. The set of questions are generated such that the user is required to identify one or more details about the subset of transactions in order to verify the user's identity. Responsive to the user correctly answering the one or more details about the subset of transactions, the user is authenticated.
