  • Publication number: 20060166064
Abstract: This document describes the nano-scaling effects of solid-state oxygen-ion conductors when the thickness of an ionic conductor membrane as well as size of the grains within the membrane are scaled down to less than 200 nm. By using such solid-state oxygen-ion conductor membranes as solid-state electrolytes, the performances of solid-state ionic devices like fuel cells, gas sensors and catalytic supporters, can be improved and operating temperature can be lowered.

  • Publication number: 20060141236
Abstract: The amount of aldehyde emitted from a polyurethane and molded articles made of a polyurethane is reduced. The reduction of aldehyde emissions from polyurethanes is achieved by including a hydrazine compound as an aldehyde-scavenger in the polyol component of the polyurethane-forming reaction mixture. The hydrazine compound is used in an amount of 0.05 to 3.0 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of the polyol mixture. Aldehyde emissions from molded polyurethane articles are reduced by including a hydrazine compound in the mold coating material in an amount of from 0.1 g/m2 to 10 g/m2.

  • Publication number: 20060134398
Abstract: A method of producing a polyurethane molded article is provided, in which one molding machine which can provide distinctly polyisocyanate component(s) and two kinds of polyol components is used, and prior to completion of the feed of a first polyurethane mixture liquid containing a polyisocyanate and a polyol component without a blowing agent into a mold, a second polyurethane mixture liquid containing a polyisocyanate and a second polyol component with a blowing agent is fed into the mold. The method produces, in a single stage, a polyurethane foam molded article having the skin or high density portion selectively formed on portions of the molded article actually requiring them, where the proportions of the skin and the high density portion and the foamed core can be varied freely.

  • Publication number: 20060131791
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing a polyurethane foam molded article from a polyisocyanate compound, a polyol mixture containing polyol, a catalyst and a crosslinking agent, and a blowing agent, said method comprising continuously injecting the polyisocyanate compound, the polyol mixture and the blowing agent into a mold, using a molding machine capable of separately supplying the polyisocyanate compound, the polyol mixture and the blowing agent, while the timing of starting to inject the blowing agent is delayed after the start of injecting the polyisocyanate compound and the polyol mixture. The inventive method produces, in a single stage, a polyurethane foam molded article having the skin or high density portion selectively formed on portions of the molded article actually requiring them, where the proportions of the skin and the high density portion and the foamed core can be varied freely.

  • Patent number: 6693966
Abstract: An apparatus for recording and reproducing digitally compressed data in the form of divided data in and from a recording medium. A data processing circuit adds reference time information indicating an output reference time during a reproducing process to each of the divided data in the digitally compressed data. A recording circuit records the divided data with the added reference time information in the recording medium. A reproducing circuit reproduces the divided data with the added reference time information from the recording medium. A rearranging circuit rearranges and outputs the reproduced divided data on a time axis according to the reproduced reference time information such that a time interval between adjacent divided data as outputted from the rearranging circuit is equal to a time interval between respective output reference times of the adjacent divided data.

  • Patent number: 6521157
Abstract: A press forming die is fabricated by initially fabricating a die forming panel, by press forming, which provides a die surface for the press forming die. During fabricating the die forming panel, a shaped panel is obtained by initially press forming a first blank material with a die forming prototype and a punch forming prototype. Next, the shaped panel is mounted onto the punch forming prototype again and, thereafter, a die forming panel is obtained by press forming a second blank material. The die forming panel is then mounted on a frame body and a backup material is formed between a space between the frame body and the die forming panel, thereby fabricating the press forming die. Since the die surface of the press forming die can be shaped by press forming, the press forming die can be simply fabricated.

  • Patent number: 6484609
Abstract: An economical method of producing a press-forming die is disclosed wherein a master die and a master punch are relatively reciprocated with a full stroke and a shorter stroke to produce a press-formed panel and a half-pressed panel. After an elastic material is applied to one surface of the half-pressed panel, the press-formed panel is fitted over the master punch, and the half-pressed panel is forced against the press-formed panel with the elastic material facing away from the press-formed panel, whereby the half-pressed panel is shaped into a die panel complementary in contour to the shape of the press-formed panel. A back-up material such as high-strength cement is then applied to the rear surface of the die panel whereby a press-forming die is produced.
