  • Patent number: 6474196
Abstract: An economical method of producing a press-forming die is disclosed wherein a master die and a master punch are relatively reciprocated to produce a press-formed panel. A working surface of the master die is cut down by a predetermined cutting depth, and the press-formed panel is fitted over the master punch. While a second blank sheet having a thickness equal to the cutting depth of the master die working surface is placed between the master die and the press-formed panel fitted over the master punch, the master die and punch are relatively reciprocated whereby the second blank sheet is press-formed into a die panel. A back-up material such as high-strength cement is then applied to the rear surface of the die panel whereby a press-forming die is produced. A method of producing a press-forming punch is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6438172
Abstract: Transmitting and recording methods, a reproducing method, and a reproducing apparatus of compressed video and audio signals which can easily realize a retrieval on a picture group unit basis. Packs are formed from a stream of compressed video and audio data and independent data. The pack is divided into a minimum unit of a data structure peculiar to a medium. When transmitting through or recording on the medium, information indicating whether or not a boundary of a picture group exists in the minimum unit is described in a sub information portion in a frame signal and is transmitted or recorded. Upon reproduction, by using the information which had been added to the sub information portion and was transmitted or recorded, the video data can be retrieved at a high speed every predetermined unit.

  • Publication number: 20020101175
Abstract: An organic EL display driving system and a mobile communication terminal used this system, in which the power consumption of the organic EL display is reduced without damaging the visuality of the displaying contents on the organic EL display, are provided. The organic EL display driving system provides a measuring means that measures the amount of incident light to an organic EL display, which emits light spontaneously, from the outside, and a power supply voltage controlling means that controls the power supply voltage for the organic EL display so that the power supply voltage is increased when the amount of the incident light is large, and the power supply voltage is decreased when the amount of the incident light is small.

  • Patent number: 6424477
Abstract: In an apparatus for recording and reproducing a burst-like digital information signal, a method capable of predicting the time of occurrence of a header indicating the head of the first data of a digital information signal during its reproduction from a recording medium. The digital signal includes a plurality of data blocks each including a header indicative of the head of the block, and each header includes the address of the block. During recording of the digital signal on the recording medium, a plurality of headers which are substantially the same as the headers of the data blocks and including addresses having given relations with the addresses of the data blocks are inserted in a clock regenerating signal recorded before the digital signal for regenerating the clocks for the signal. The headers are inserted at a period equal to the length of each data block so as to be synchronized with the headers of the data blocks.

  • Patent number: 6404979
Abstract: An optical disk recording thereon compressed moving picture data and an optical disk reproduction apparatus each capable of easily effecting trick play such as high speed reproduction and a retrieval operation at a high speed. Additional information necessary for trick play is recorded in an arbitrary area of an optical disk such as a TOC (Table of Contents) or a leading sector (sector 0) of the disk, and a sector address is added to each sector. To conduct trick play, an I picture, a P picture and a B picture contained in a GOP layer inside a bit stream of compressed image data are extracted and reproduced in accordance with a reproduction speed by looking up a trick play table.

  • Patent number: 6314542
Abstract: In a system recording compressed video and audio signals or computer user data on a disk in the sector unit, to reproduce the data in a simple fashion at a high speed, data to be recorded on the disk is divided into data in a predetermined unit so as to add a first error correction (C1) code to each of the resultant data, which form (C1) correction blocks. Sectors are produced each including a plurality of (C1) correction blocks. Added to each (C1) correction block is a code enabling identification of a sector. To all data in the plural (C1) correction blocks, a second error correction (C2) code is added to record the resultant data on the disk to allow interleaving or deinterleaving completing in a block. The capacity of each sector is set to be substantially equal to that of a plurality of transport packets.

  • Publication number: 20010013264
Abstract: An economical method of producing a press-forming die is disclosed wherein a master die and a master punch are relatively reciprocated with a full stroke and a shorter stroke to produce a press-formed panel and a half-pressed panel. After an elastic material is applied to one surface of the half-pressed panel, the press-formed panel is fitted over the master punch, and the half-pressed panel is forced against the press-formed panel with the elastic material facing away from the press-formed panel, whereby the half-pressed panel is shaped into a die panel complementary in contour to the shape of the press-formed panel. A back-up material such as high-strength cement is then applied to the rear surface of the die panel whereby a press-forming die is produced.

  • Publication number: 20010004003
Abstract: A press forming die is fabricated by initially fabricating a die forming panel, by press forming, which provides a die surface for the press forming die. During fabricating the die forming panel, a shaped panel is obtained by initially press forming a first blank material with a die forming prototype and a punch forming prototype. Next, the shaped panel is mounted onto the punch forming prototype again and, thereafter, a die forming panel is obtained by press forming a second blank material. The die forming panel is then mounted on a frame body and a backup material is formed between a space between the frame body and the die forming panel, thereby fabricating the press forming die. Since the die surface of the press forming die can be shaped by press forming, the press forming die can be simply fabricated.
