Patent number: 6474196Abstract: An economical method of producing a press-forming die is disclosed wherein a master die and a master punch are relatively reciprocated to produce a press-formed panel. A working surface of the master die is cut down by a predetermined cutting depth, and the press-formed panel is fitted over the master punch. While a second blank sheet having a thickness equal to the cutting depth of the master die working surface is placed between the master die and the press-formed panel fitted over the master punch, the master die and punch are relatively reciprocated whereby the second blank sheet is press-formed into a die panel. A back-up material such as high-strength cement is then applied to the rear surface of the die panel whereby a press-forming die is produced. A method of producing a press-forming punch is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2001Date of Patent: November 5, 2002Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Teiji Watanabe, Masafumi Nakamura, Yoshikazu Nakamura

Patent number: 6438172Abstract: Transmitting and recording methods, a reproducing method, and a reproducing apparatus of compressed video and audio signals which can easily realize a retrieval on a picture group unit basis. Packs are formed from a stream of compressed video and audio data and independent data. The pack is divided into a minimum unit of a data structure peculiar to a medium. When transmitting through or recording on the medium, information indicating whether or not a boundary of a picture group exists in the minimum unit is described in a sub information portion in a frame signal and is transmitted or recorded. Upon reproduction, by using the information which had been added to the sub information portion and was transmitted or recorded, the video data can be retrieved at a high speed every predetermined unit.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 1995Date of Patent: August 20, 2002Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Masafumi Nakamura, Toshifumi Takeuchi

Patent number: 6424477Abstract: In an apparatus for recording and reproducing a burst-like digital information signal, a method capable of predicting the time of occurrence of a header indicating the head of the first data of a digital information signal during its reproduction from a recording medium. The digital signal includes a plurality of data blocks each including a header indicative of the head of the block, and each header includes the address of the block. During recording of the digital signal on the recording medium, a plurality of headers which are substantially the same as the headers of the data blocks and including addresses having given relations with the addresses of the data blocks are inserted in a clock regenerating signal recorded before the digital signal for regenerating the clocks for the signal. The headers are inserted at a period equal to the length of each data block so as to be synchronized with the headers of the data blocks.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 1999Date of Patent: July 23, 2002Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Seiichi Saito, Toshifumi Takeuchi, Masafumi Nakamura, Junji Shiokawa, Osamu Kawamae

Patent number: 6314542Abstract: In a system recording compressed video and audio signals or computer user data on a disk in the sector unit, to reproduce the data in a simple fashion at a high speed, data to be recorded on the disk is divided into data in a predetermined unit so as to add a first error correction (C1) code to each of the resultant data, which form (C1) correction blocks. Sectors are produced each including a plurality of (C1) correction blocks. Added to each (C1) correction block is a code enabling identification of a sector. To all data in the plural (C1) correction blocks, a second error correction (C2) code is added to record the resultant data on the disk to allow interleaving or deinterleaving completing in a block. The capacity of each sector is set to be substantially equal to that of a plurality of transport packets.Type: GrantFiled: February 28, 2000Date of Patent: November 6, 2001Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Yutaka Nagai, Masafumi Nakamura, Toshifumi Takeuchi, Masayuki Hirabayashi

Publication number: 20010004003Abstract: A press forming die is fabricated by initially fabricating a die forming panel, by press forming, which provides a die surface for the press forming die. During fabricating the die forming panel, a shaped panel is obtained by initially press forming a first blank material with a die forming prototype and a punch forming prototype. Next, the shaped panel is mounted onto the punch forming prototype again and, thereafter, a die forming panel is obtained by press forming a second blank material. The die forming panel is then mounted on a frame body and a backup material is formed between a space between the frame body and the die forming panel, thereby fabricating the press forming die. Since the die surface of the press forming die can be shaped by press forming, the press forming die can be simply fabricated.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 19, 2000Publication date: June 21, 2001Applicant: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Teiji Watanabe, Masafumi Nakamura, Yoshikazu Nakamura
