  • Publication number: 20090068555
Abstract: Cell-to-cell connection plates (1) each integrally having a welding part (2) shaped to fall within a circular end of a battery case (7) and a connecting part (2) extending from this welding part (2) are provided. The cell-to-cell connection plates (1) are attached to one electrode terminal and the other electrode terminal of the battery case (7) by welding the welding parts (2), respectively. The connecting parts (3) of the respective cell-to-cell connection plates (1) attached to each adjoining pair of cylindrical batteries (Ba) are overlapped with each other and coupled into electric connection. Consequently, regardless of whether a plurality of cylindrical batteries (Ba) are axially arranged in series or radially juxtaposed, each adjoining two can be connected to each other by using the identical cell-to-cell connection plates (1) for cost reduction.

  • Publication number: 20090011121
Abstract: An electrode mixture paste application method includes: a first step of unwinding a core material (2) wound in a coil shape; a second step of immersing the core material in an electrode mixture paste (5); a third step of adjusting an application amount of the electrode mixture paste; a fourth step of drying a paste-coated sheet (6) with the electrode mixture paste applied to the both sides thereof; and a fifth step of winding the paste-coated sheet in a coil shape, wherein a seam welding step for connecting coils of the core material to each other is provided between the first and second steps, wherein a metal containing molybdenum and/or tungsten is used as a welding electrode (91) in the seam welding step, and wherein a mechanism for air cooling by gas is provided. This can achieve a stable method for applying an electrode mixture paste in which apprehensions for micro short circuits and the like are eliminated and troubles in the step of welding core materials can be avoided.

  • Publication number: 20080213009
Abstract: In a belt moving device that is capable of reducing belt speed fluctuation and positional deviation from a target belt position in a sub-scanning direction and performing highly precise position control in a main scanning direction, and an image forming apparatus that uses this belt moving device to prevent color shift in both the main scanning direction and sub-scanning direction of a formed image such that a high-quality image can be formed, belt shift control means reduce shift position variation within a single round trip of an endless belt by feeding back a target value for canceling out the shift position variation within a single round trip of the endless belt and feeding forward a value obtained by multiplying an inverse transfer characteristic of moving means by a transfer characteristic of a target value of the moving means in relation to the control content of the moving means.

  • Patent number: 7343899
Abstract: A propulsion system for a watercraft includes an engine. An air intake device delivers air to a combustion chamber. A throttle valve regulates an amount of the air. A control device sets the throttle valve to a desired position. A remote controller provides the control device with the desired position. The engine can include an auxiliary intake device that delivers supplemental air to the combustion chamber. A control valve normally shuts the supplemental air from the combustion chamber. The control device determines whether an abnormal condition occurs in setting the throttle valve to the desired position. The control device determines whether the amount of the air is insufficient. The control device controls the control valve to allow the supplemental air to move to the combustion chamber when the control device determines that the abnormal condition occurs and the amount of the air is insufficient.

  • Patent number: 7311692
Abstract: A dual-chamber type prefilled syringe comprises a cylindrical body within which a front plug member, a middle plug member and an end plug member are hermetically fitted to form a first chamber and a second chamber. The cylindrical body has an inner surface formed with a bypass. When the middle plug member moves to a position where the bypass is formed, the first chamber is communicated with the second chamber for the first time via the bypass. In this beginning state of liquid transfer (S), an inner volume (VS) of the cylindrical body between a leading end of the cylindrical body and a rear end of the front plug member is set to be at least 60% of a volume (VC) of a second component. When liquid component within the second chamber flows into the first chamber, it is possible to prevent part of the liquid component from passing through the first chamber to reach a portion for attaching an injection needle at a leading end of the cylindrical body.

  • Patent number: 7150249
Abstract: An engine has a lubrication system that lubricates the engine with lubricant. The lubrication system incorporates a lubrication pump that periodically pressurizes the lubricant toward the engine. An engine speed sensor and a throttle valve position sensor are provided to sense an engine speed and a throttle valve position (i.e., engine load), respectively. A control device controls the lubrication pump. The control device determines a frequency of the periodic pressurization based upon signals from the sensors. The control device sets a pressurizing time of the lubrication pump to a period of time shorter than the maximum period of time that can be set for the lubrication pump at the determined frequency, when the signals from the sensors indicate that the engine speed is less than a preset engine speed and the engine load is less than a preset engine load.

  • Patent number: 7088433
Abstract: A distance measuring apparatus measure the distance to a target by measuring the time required for an emitted beam of light to go to and return from the target. The light receiving section of the apparatus converts the received light into an electric signal. The clamp/inversion section of the apparatus clamps and inverts the output of the light receiving section. The comparing section of the apparatus compares the output of the light receiving section and the output of the clamp/inversion section. The determining section of the apparatus identifies the time of receiving the light on the basis of the outcome of the operation of the comparing section.
