  • Patent number: 4695143
Abstract: An instant photographic apparatus uses a photosensitive member, an image-receiving member, and an aqueous alkaline processing liquid separately accommodated within the housing thereof. The photosensitive and image-receiving members are, after the former has been exposed in order to create a latent image thereon, separately advanced to a position where the leading end of the exposed photosensitive member is superposed on a part of the image-receiving member. In this position, a processing liquid or rupturable pods of processing liquid is applied between the superposed members. When the superposed members are brought into contact with each other by passing between a pair of pressure-applying rollers, the processing liquid directly applied or released from the ruptured pods is distributed and spread in a uniform layer therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4620895
Abstract: A square filler for water treatment and an apparatus for the manufacture thereof are disclosed. The square filler is used as a contact medium for aerobic or anaerobic treatment of sewage. The square filler is made of synthetic resin net sheet or net tube of which a plurality of net layers are formed, and melt-bonding is applied to at least one spot on each layer for fixing all layers together. An apparatus for manufacturing square fillers flattens the net sheet or net tube for forming net layers with the application of pressure, intermittently feeds the flattened net sheet or net tube in the longitudinal axial direction thereof, and heats the net sheet or net tube for softening during transfer thereof. The heated net sheet or net tube is locally pressed with projections for melt-bonding so that net layers are locally melt-bonded to each other, thereby square fillers having net layers fixed by solidification thereof are obtained.

  • Patent number: 4610520
Abstract: A film unit withdrawing apparatus withdraws an exposed film unit from the film pack while permitting it to pass through a pair of pressure rollers. The peel apart type film unit to be used for this apparatus is attached with a tab. This film unit withdrawing apparatus is such that after a photograph is taken, the aforementioned tab is held between and withdrawn by a tab transfer roller and a nip roller. Following the withdrawal of the tab, the pull end of the film unit is ejected by passing between the pressure rollers. Simultaneously, the tab is torn off the film unit. Subsequently, the pull end of the film unit is held between a film unit transfer roller and a nip roller, and the film unit is automatically withdrawn by passing between the pressure rollers.

  • Patent number: 4364826
Abstract: A waterwheel system for aerating water in sewage treatment tanks and fishponds, etc., an aerator waterwheel system in which a plurality of honeycombed tubes are arranged, and securely held in place, encircling a rotary shaft, between discs mounted on both ends of the said rotary shaft and parallel thereto, thereby forming a waterwheel; this waterwheel is disposed near the water surface of the water tank so that the honeycombed tubes situated at the bottom are immersed in water; the aeration of water is made by turning the aforementioned waterwheel by use of a driving means at such a rotary speed that heavy splashing will not be produced from the aforementioned waterwheel; this way of aeration of water is so effective that this system is economical, and is finding wide uses such a sewage treatment, supply of oxygen and cooling of hot and warm water.

  • Patent number: 4299108
Abstract: A metal pipe forming mill progressively forms a flat metal sheet into a circular form along the mill axis by forming rolls including pairs of cage rolls. A cage-roll unit in this type of mill has a pair of movable bases disposed on both sides of the mill axis, with the space between the two movable bases being freely adjustable, and a pair of stands mounted on the movable bases, one on each. The stands rotatably support, on their surfaces facing the mill axis, two or more pairs of cage rolls, one pair following another along the mill line.

  • Patent number: 4022689
Abstract: A rotary multitube biocontactor has a plurality of tubes of a predetermined length and diameter. The tubes are bundled in a pillar like form and are connected with each other and with an axle at the sectional center thereof by means of welding or the like. The plurality of tubes are at angles to the axle, the axle being mounted in bearings provided on a trough at the top of two sidewalls thereof so as to enable the axle to be located close to the surface of water contained in the trough. The axle is rotated by a motor connected thereto thereby rotating the multitube biocontactor so that the tubes move in and out of the water contained in the trough.
