  • Publication number: 20070147422
Abstract: In a bandwidth management apparatus that outputs packets by observing the bandwidth set value predetermined for each destination, provisions are made to prevent a situation where the contracted bandwidth cannot be provided due to influences from packets destined for other destinations. When performing bandwidth management using token buckets provided one for each destination, each token bucket is updated by setting the upper limit token value higher when any packet is stored in the corresponding queue than when no packets are stored; this serves to prevent a situation where even when a packet has already arrived at the queue, the packet cannot be output because a packet is being output from some other queue and, as a result, unconsumed tokens are discarded at the next update time.

  • Patent number: 7138036
Abstract: A monitoring apparatus is provided which can ensure the prevention of a paper break even in a poor installation environment. A light source (9) illuminates light (9a) on a lateral edge (1a) of wet paper (1) and a camera (5) captures light (9b) reflected therefrom. The camera (5) is a micro camera and completely covered by a camera box (10). The camera box (10) has an observation window (10a) which is made of a transparent member, at the lens side (5a) of the camera (5). The outer surface of the observation window (10a) is coated and an air curtain (12a) that flows from above to below prevents staining caused by mist. The air curtain (12a) is formed in such a manner that air that is continuously supplied inside a cover (11) flows along the outer surface of the observation window (10a) from an opening portion (11a).

  • Publication number: 20050207417
Abstract: A multicast packet readout control method is disclosed. An input multicast packet is temporarily stored in a multicast queue of a packet buffer. The multicast packet is read from the multicast queue, and converted into a unicast packet addressed to each of the destinations of the multicast packet. The converted unicast packet is stored in a unicast queue of the packet buffer. The converted unicast packet is then read from the unicast queue and transmitted to the destination.

  • Publication number: 20030123752
Abstract: An in-vehicle image correcting device for correcting an image picked up by a near-infrared camera ahead of one's own vehicle in which an obstacle is difficult for a driver to visually recognize captures the image picked up by the near-infrared camera; and corrects the image captured by the image capturing means so that a density of a pixel having a higher density than an obstacle density representative of the density of a pixel corresponding to the obstacle becomes lower than the obstacle density. In this configuration, the image picked up by the, near-infrared camera is corrected so that the obstacle can be easily recognized.

  • Patent number: 6587130
Abstract: In a multi-function switch, while a first level screen inclusive of images representative of a plurality of object appliances viewed at operation buttons is displayed on a display means, an image of a selected appliance is selected by pressing any one of the operation buttons. Next, a second level screen inclusive of a plurality of functions of the selected appliance is displayed on the display means. In this configuration, not only the number of the operation buttons but also the space required for displaying the selected appliance can be reduced. When an air conditioner mode is selected from the first level screen, by pressing one by one a operation button for air drafting, in accordance with the number of times of pressing, the symbol representative of drafting mode is changed in a sequence of six patterns of “no drafting”, “only head”, “both head and leg”, “only leg” “only leg with defogger” and “head and leg with defogger”.

  • Patent number: 6388749
Abstract: There is provided a monitoring apparatus for preventing paper breakage. For this monitoring apparatus, a light source 9 is disposed on the upper side of a wet paper 1, and a light emitting face thereof faces downward. An operation-side camera 5a and a drive-side camera 5b are disposed on the side opposite to the light source 9 with respect to the wet paper 1, and a lens face thereof faces upward. Light 9a of the light source 9 passes through the wet paper 1 after being reflected from a mirror 11, and is caught by the cameras 5a and 5b. Thus, the cameras 5a and 5b photograph a silhouette (image) of the light 9a of the light source 9, which has passed through the wet paper 1. This image is sent to an image processing unit 6, where the image is processed. The coordinates of a boundary line such that the wet paper 1 separates from a center roll 2 is detected from the images photographed from two directions. This coordinate value is sent to a computer 8.

  • Patent number: 6344801
Abstract: The names of a plurality of instruments connected to a bus are displayed on a screen. An operator presses a mode selection switch, so that one of the names of the plurality of electrical instruments displayed on the screen of the monitor can be selected. A controller selectively displays the name on the screen selected by the mode selection switch. The operator can operate the instrument corresponding to the name on the screen selected by the mode selection switch with using a direction key.

  • Patent number: 6059660
Abstract: When an operational unit is inclined in an X- or Y-direction, an universal support mechanism and a rotation angle detection mechanism are used to detect the inclined direction and angle. The detection results are supplied to a computer system (not shown). When the operational unit is pushed down at the neutral position, a push detection switch detects it. The detection result is also supplied to the computer system. In addition, a rotation angle detection switch 10 detects rotation of the operational unit about a Z-axis. The detection result is supplied to the computer system.

  • Patent number: 5995104
Abstract: A video monitor displaying a plurality of menu screens three-dimensionally is provided. Each of the screens corresponds to a particular mode/amenity of the vehicle. Each of the screens is displayed as a collection of switches corresponding to various functions of the corresponding amenity. An input device is provided to enable the driver to select a screen, i.e., an amenity, and then select a particular switch. In the preferred embodiment the input device is formed as two joysticks commonly structured on a single lever, so that selection of a particular screen and a particular switch within that screen can be done in a single operation.

  • Patent number: 4774454
Abstract: A method for testing and measuring distortion in electrical devices is provided. For signal processing and carrying devices, a signal generator generates a signal having known phase, amplitude and frequency, which is provided both to a device under test and a measuring unit. The measuring unit measures the amplitude, frequency and phase rotation of an output of the device under test and provides these measured values to a suppression signal generator. The suppression signal generator generates a suppression signal which is added to the output signal from the device under test for suppressing the fundamental wave of the output signal. This suppressed signal is then provided to the measuring unit, for comparison with the original output signal from the device under test for determining distortion factors.
