  • Patent number: 10313088
Abstract: In one example embodiment, a method for identifying interfering physical channel configurations and cell-specific reference signals (CRSs) for the characterization of dynamic interferers includes constructing configuration indications. Each configuration indication may include a physical cell identity, antenna port information for a cell-specific reference signal (CRS), and an identification of a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS). First and second configuration indications may be transmitted to a first wireless device. A first physical channel may be transmitted to the first wireless device. A second physical channel transmitted from a second network node may interfere with the first physical channel and be identifiable at least in part based on the first and second configuration indications. • Patent number: 10292041
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for improving the reporting of mobility information are disclosed. An example method, suitable for implementation in a mobile terminal such as an LTE UE, begins with the detecting of a transition from idle state to connected state. The mobile terminal subsequently transmits mobility information to the network in response to or in connection with the transition. The mobility information sent to the network includes one or more of several information elements or information types, including a list of recently visited cells, including information specifying a time-of-stay in each cell, or timestamp information that can be used to derive the mobile terminal's time in each cell. GPS-based speed information or other generic speed information may be included. Complementary methods for implementation in a base station and corresponding apparatus are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20190124509
Abstract: An authentication node (22) in a wireless communication system (10) authenticates a message received by a recipient radio node (16A) (e.g., a user equipment). The authentication node (22) in this regard determines a radio resource that carries the message received by the recipient radio node (16A). The authentication node (22) performs authentication of the message, by checking whether the message is bound to the determined radio resource. The authentication node (22) may, for example, compute an expected authentication or integrity code based on information identifying the determined radio resource and check whether the expected authentication or integrity code matches an authentication or integrity code associated with the message.
