  • Publication number: 20200175227
Abstract: An electronic message including text generated by a first user can be identified and at least a second user can be identified as a recipient. At least one n-gram contained in the text of the electronic message can be identified by performing natural language processing on the text. A first user profile of the first user and a second user profile of the second user can be accessed. Based on the first user profile and the second user profile, at least one user context of the first user, not shared with the second user, relating to the computer-understandable meaning of the at least one n-gram can be determined. The electronic message as presented to the second user can include the at least one user context of the first user, not shared with the second user, relating to the computer-understandable meaning of the at least one n-gram.

  • Patent number: 10671151
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and system for mitigating disorientation of a user transitioning out of a digital reality session. A user login credentials is received. A start digital reality session command is received. User behavior inputs associated with the digital reality session are monitor. In response to analyzing the user behavior inputs, a behavior risk rating associated with the user behavior inputs is generated. An ending event to the digital reality session is detected. A leakage length value based on the generated behavior risk rating is generated. An expected leakage length value based on the analyzed behavior associated with the user and a user profile associated with the user is determined. A leakage risk value based on the behavior risk rating and leakage length value is assigned. In response to the leakage risk value being above a threshold, the digital reality session is modified.

  • Publication number: 20200089952
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and system for avoiding augmented reality blindness during an augmented reality session via an augmented reality device used by a user. In the method, computer program product, and system a set of visual representations within the augmented reality session is detected. A set of labeling objects is applied to the set of visual representations within the augmented reality session. A subset of labeling objects and associated visual representation within a display view of the augmented reality device are recorded in a history table. A blindness quotient based on the history table of recorded labeled objects and associated visual representation is calculated. In response to the calculated blindness quotient exceeding a threshold, the set of labeling objects within the display view of the augmented reality device are modified.

  • Patent number: 10594646
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for handling an overwhelming amount of messages in an activity stream. Messages in an activity stream, such as an activity stream of a social networking system, of a user are monitored. Those monitored messages that contain an actionable item or event are identified. The messages that contain an actionable item or event are prioritized in a list based on one or more of the following factors: the deadline, the relationship of the sender of the message to the user, the user's desired social relationship with the sender of the message and the event schedule. The prioritized list is then displayed to the user. In this manner, the user will be able to handle the overwhelming amount of messages in an activity stream by determining which posts with an actionable item or event to respond prior to other posts in the user's activity stream.

  • Publication number: 20200082625
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and system for enhancing augmented reality layers. The type of activity a user is engaged in during an augmented reality session is detected. A set of markers for display within the augmented reality session are detected. A useful markers threshold is determined and a set of priority markers of the set of the detected set of markers is generated. A set of layers for display based on the set of priority markers is generating. one or more markers of the set of priority markers to the generated set of layers is mapped. An ordered list of layers of the generated set of layers is generated, wherein the ordered list is prioritized based on a user activity interest value and the generated set of layers and associated mapped markers to the user via the augmented reality session are displayed.

  • Publication number: 20200073900
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for improving the discoverability of messages on a social network. The creation of a proposed message that requests a response from a target audience is detected. The social network is then searched to identify search terms and posts related to the proposed message. Upon identifying the search terms, the search terms are ranked in order of usage among the identified posts. A list of identified search terms in order of rank is then presented to the user to modify the proposed message. The proposed message is modified using a search term selected by the user from the list of search terms. The modified message is then posted on the social network. In this manner, the message created by the user has been modified to improve the discoverability of the message on the social network and to increase responses from an appropriate target audience.

  • Patent number: 10580186
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for transitioning between different realities. The distance of the objects from a reference point in the first and second reality environments is determined. For example, the distance of the object's location in the first reality environment from a reference point (e.g., camera system) as well as the distance of the object's location in the second reality environment from the reference point is determined. A determination is made as to whether the likelihood of a transition shock event (e.g., motion sickness) occurring as a user transitions between the first and second reality environments exceeds a threshold value. In response to the likelihood of the transition shock event occurring exceeding the threshold value, the distance of the object from the reference point in the first and/or second reality environments is modified so as to prevent users from experiencing transition shocks when transitioning between realities.

  • Publication number: 20200066413
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to improving the experience between a patient and a healthcare provider using augmented or virtual reality to supplement a medical communication interaction, such as a pre-operative check-up. In various embodiments of the invention, a method includes measuring a first physiological property of a patient during a communication interaction with a healthcare provider, where the first physiological property includes natural language communicated by the patient, eye movement, breathing rate, and body position. The method includes determining whether the first physiological property is indicative of a negative interaction between the healthcare provider and the patient. If the communication interaction is negative, an indication is provided to the healthcare provider that the communication interaction is negative. An artificial reality display is provided to supplement the communication interaction by demonstrating a medical procedure.

  • Patent number: 10565762
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and system for identifying biases of one or more users during a shared augmented reality session and modifying the display. A first login is detected of an augmented reality. A first set of biases associated with the first user are generated. Visual data is received from a device associated with the first user profile. A masked overlay for display is generated and displayed to the first user based on the received visual data and the first set of biases. A second login of the augmented reality session is received. A second set of biases associated with the second login is generated. In response to analyzing a generated heat map, a positivity score is calculated. Changes are monitored for, in the first set of biases and second set of biases. The masked overlay is displayed.

  • Publication number: 20200050643
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and system for generating a plan for document processing. A plurality of electronic documents are received, by a computer, using a network. The plurality of electronic documents are analyzed, using the computer, to identify a plurality of tabular data, based on the analyzed plurality of electronic documents. Textual data is identified within the identified tabular data, of the analyzed plurality of electronic documents. Textual hints are generated, based on the identified textual data within the identified tabular data. References are identified, wherein references are based on matching textual hints with textual data in the received plurality of electronic documents. A count of references is calculated, associated with one or more sets of tabular data. A priority score is calculated based on the count of references, and an ingestion plan is generated, based on the calculated priority score.

  • Publication number: 20200042818
Abstract: An object of interest in an augmented reality view within a display of an augmented reality device is identified. A location of the object of interest is determined. A plurality of markers related to the object of interest is received. Metadata information associated with each of the plurality of markers is received. The metadata includes an indication of a location of an author of the marker at a time of authorship of the marker. The location of each of the plurality of markers is determined based upon the metadata information. A distance measure between the location of each of the plurality of markers and the location of the object of interest is determined. The plurality of markers are de-duplicated to form a subset of the plurality of markers based upon the determined distance measures. The subset of markers is sent to the augmented reality device.
