  • Publication number: 20190370590
Abstract: An object of interest in an augmented reality view within a display of an augmented reality device is identified. A location of the object of interest is determined. A plurality of markers related to the object of interest is received. Metadata information associated with each of the plurality of markers is received. The metadata includes an indication of a location of an author of the marker at a time of authorship of the marker. The location of each of the plurality of markers is determined based upon the metadata information. A distance measure between the location of each of the plurality of markers and the location of the object of interest is determined. The plurality of markers are de-duplicated to form a subset of the plurality of markers based upon the determined distance measures. The subset of markers are sent to the augmented reality device.

  • Publication number: 20190346994
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for displaying content without obscuring key details on a computer screen. After the computing system detects the display of overlapping application windows, objects in the application windows are detected using an object recognition service. A determination is then made as to which of these detected objects correspond to objects that are being focused by the user, will be focused by the user and/or have been focused by the user based on the tracking of the eye gaze of the user and/or prior recorded patterns of activity. A score may then be generated for each of these focused objects indicating a level of obstruction using the location of the focused objects, the location of overlays and/or prior recorded patterns of activity. An optimal layout of the overlapped application windows is determined in response to the score for the focused object(s) exceeding a threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20190348167
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide techniques for identifying gaps in health management data, and combining an estimated data subset with the health management data to fill in gaps in the health management data. The health management data can be derived from a wearable electronic fitness tracking device such as a smart watch or pedometer. The estimated data subset can be derived based on historical data for the individual, average data for a demographic group, crowdsourced, or estimated based on user profile information, and/or portable electronic device information, such as from a smartphone belonging to a user. The estimated data subset is combined with the health management data to form a revised health parameter dataset. The estimated data subset may be sent to a wearable electronic fitness tracking device, which causes the wearable electronic fitness tracking device to initiate a fitness program adjustment based on the revised health parameter dataset.

  • Patent number: 10454937
Abstract: In a computer system implemented method for generating an authorized response to a message in a network, the computer system detects a message sent by an originator via a network. The computer system selects a group of users to contribute to the authorized response to the message based on the computer system analyzing the message. Users selected by the computer system are notified that they are selected to contribute to the authorized response. The computer system receives input data for the authorized response from respective ones of the users of the group and generates the authorized response based on the input data. The computer system sends the authorized response to the originator via the network.

  • Patent number: 10430747
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for improving management and performance of an employee. An indication of a goal sponsored by an owner, such as a manager, is received. After receiving an indication of a user subscribing to the goal sponsored by the owner, communications (e.g., posts) on the social network involving the subscribed user that include a tag designating the goal may be monitored. Upon detecting a completion of the goal by the subscribed user in the monitored communications, a pattern of steps (e.g., “prepare,” “review” and “finish”) to accomplish the goal is determined based on the monitored communications. The pattern may then be used to recommend actions to other users subscribed to the goal concerning accomplishing the goal based on the pattern. Furthermore, the owner may receive indications as to the progress of the user in accomplishing the goal based on the pattern.

  • Patent number: 10417285
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an approach in which a domain corpus subset generator correlates documents from a document corpus to domain discernible attributes associated with domain corpus subsets. The domain corpus subset generator analyzes correlation results from the correlation and stores the documents into domain corpus subsets accordingly. In turn, a question-answer system utilizes documents included in a specific domain corpus subset to provide relevant and accurate answers to an input question.
