  • Patent number: 10031331
Abstract: A valve body in a passage of a housing connected to a through hole in a sealed machine casing can allow an inspection apparatus into an interior of the casing when open, and prevents fluid flow through the passage when closed. Seals can engage the inspection apparatus to prevent fluid flow through the passage during inspection or inspection apparatus movement. A guide conduit in the casing can include branches and can guide the inspection apparatus to multiple inspection sites. Guide marks can identify the branches to assist with navigation within the casing.

  • Publication number: 20180187998
Abstract: An archery release configured to eliminate, or at least minimize, vibrations and/or noise generated when a drawn bowstring is released from a pre-shoot position. The archery release includes a substrate subassembly and an overmolding material bonded to each other. The overmolding material is configured to absorb and eliminate, or at least minimize the vibrations and/or noise. The archery release also includes a trigger, a release mechanism, and a latching assembly extending into a hollow interior of a handle of the archery release. Within the handle, the latching assembly is operably coupled with the trigger and with the release mechanism. The vibrations and/or noise is eliminated, or at least minimized, by placing the overmolding material at locations whereat one or more components of the trigger, the latching assembly, and the release mechanism strike or engage the overmolding material instead of the substrate subassembly.

  • Publication number: 20180123672
Abstract: The present invention relates to the signaling of channel quality information in a multi-beam transmission system, wherein a plurality of beams are simultaneously transmitted and a plurality of sets of channel quality information are transmitted for controlling independently the transmission rate on the different beams. Determined are beams with a different quality resulting in different effects of errors in the transmissions of the channel quality information for the beams. Said different effects are exploited for reducing a signaling overhead of the channel quality information for the beams.

  • Publication number: 20180098802
Abstract: Systems and methods for bone fixation using a plate straddled by a retainer. In an exemplary system, the plate may be an elongated plate configured to be disposed longitudinally on a bone. The retainer may have a body interconnecting a pair of mounting regions. The body may define a recess, and each mounting region may define a first aperture and a second aperture. The retainer may be configured to be mated with the plate to position a section of the plate in the recess such that the retainer straddles the plate. The first apertures may be configured to define through-axes that are tangential to the bone, to enable use with a line including wire and/or cable, and each second aperture may be configured to define a through-axis that extends through opposite sides of the bone while avoiding a medullary canal thereof, to enable use with a threaded fastener.

  • Publication number: 20180088285
Abstract: Aspects and techniques of the present disclosure relate to a cleaning substrate with liquid-filled microcapsules embedded therein. The cleaning substrate may include cleaning swabs, tapes, or textiles that can be used to provide enhanced cleaning of optical fiber end faces. Cleaning is achieved by bringing the liquid-filled microcapsules into contact with a surface of application, such as an end face of an optical fiber connector. When the cleaning substrate is rubbed in contact with the surface of application, liquid burst from the liquid-filled microcapsules of the cleaning substrate to remove foreign matter or contamination, such as oil and dust, from the surface of application.

The medium access control header comprising a set at least one field (e.g. TSN, SEG, LI, FMT, LCid), wherein a size allocated to at least one field of the set is determined based on a length of the protocol data unit. For example, the size allocated to a segmentation indication field (SEG) determined for a protocol data unit of a first length is less than the size determined for a protocol data unit of a second length, the second length being higher than the first length, the segmentation indication depending on a number of segments that the protocol data unit is subdivided into.

  • Publication number: 20170360813
Abstract: Provided are methods and compositions for treating an individual who has a medulloblastoma. Methods for treating an individual who has a medulloblastoma tumor can include a step of administering to the individual, at a dose sufficient to reduce the size and/or growth rate of the medulloblastoma tumor, a composition that includes a casein kinase II (CK2) inhibitor (e.g., a CK2-selective inhibitor such as CX-4945). In some cases, the medulloblastoma tumor is a hedgehog-dependent medulloblastoma tumor. In some cases, the medulloblastoma tumor is a hedgehog-independent medulloblastoma tumor. In some cases, the medulloblastoma tumor is smoothened inhibitor-resistant (SMO inhibitor-resistant). In some cases, the medulloblastoma is resistant to treatment with 4,5,6,7-tetrabromo-2H-benzotriazole (TBB). In some cases, the dose is sufficient to cause long term regression of the medulloblastoma tumor, and in some cases, the dose is sufficient to increase the chance of survival of the individual.
