  • Patent number: 10539032
Abstract: A turbomachine includes a plurality of nozzles, and each nozzle has an airfoil. The turbomachine has opposing walls defining a pathway into which a fluid flow is receivable to flow through the pathway. A throat distribution is measured at a narrowest region in the pathway between adjacent nozzles, at which adjacent nozzles extend across the pathway between the opposing walls to aerodynamically interact with the fluid flow. The airfoil defines the throat distribution, and the throat distribution is defined by values set forth in Table 1, where the throat distribution values are within a +/?10% tolerance of the values set forth in Table 1. The throat distribution reduces aerodynamic loss and improves aerodynamic loading on each airfoil.

  • Patent number: 10488145
Abstract: An archery release configured to eliminate, or at least minimize, vibrations and/or noise generated when a drawn bowstring is released from a pre-shoot position. The archery release includes a substrate subassembly and an overmolding material bonded to each other. The overmolding material is configured to absorb and eliminate, or at least minimize the vibrations and/or noise. The archery release also includes a trigger, a release mechanism, and a latching assembly extending into a hollow interior of a handle of the archery release. Within the handle, the latching assembly is operably coupled with the trigger and with the release mechanism. The vibrations and/or noise is eliminated, or at least minimized, by placing the overmolding material at locations whereat one or more components of the trigger, the latching assembly, and the release mechanism strike or engage the overmolding material instead of the substrate subassembly.

  • Patent number: 10425156
Abstract: The amount of current provided to a laser diode of an optical network transceiver device, the power output of the optical network transceiver device, and the device temperature of the optical network transceiver device is monitored. Based at least in part on a detected fluctuation in at least one of the amount of current provided to the laser diode, the power output of the optical network transceiver device, and the device temperature of the optical network transceiver device, a determined expected life of the optical network transceiver device is dynamically adjusted.

  • Publication number: 20190265000
Abstract: A bowstring release having a handle, a jaw, and a sear. The jaw is configured for drawing and releasing the bowstring. The sear includes a plurality of settings for adjusting the rotation of the handle at which the jaw releases the bowstring. While the bowstring is in the drawn configuration, the jaw and the sear are slidingly coupled and the jaw slides along a surface of the sear while the release is rotated. The bowstring is released when the jaw and the sear de-couple.

  • Publication number: 20190219785
Abstract: Aspects and techniques of the present disclosure relate to a cable sealing structure comprising a cable sealing body including a gel and methods of making anisotropic behavior in cable sealing structures made with a dry silicone gel. In one aspect, various three-dimensional printing techniques are used to make a cable sealing structure that includes a gel. The cable sealing body has a construction that elastically deforms to apply an elastic spring load to the gel. The cable sealing body has a construction with anisotropic deformation characteristics that allows the cable sealing body to be less deformable in one direction than in others. The cable sealing structure can be utilized to seal fiber optic cables more uniformly while limiting the potential of leakage.

  • Patent number: 10352666
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a collar for a reduced diameter broadhead wherein a diameter of a ferrule of the broadhead is relatively smaller than an outside diameter of a shaft of an arrow or crossbow bolt to which the broadhead is attached. The collar includes a plurality of spaced-apart tabs, each configured for retaining at least one of a plurality of blades in a retracted position during flight and permitting the retained blade to deploy after the broadhead impacts the target. An outside diameter of the collar at a distal end thereof is substantially equal to the diameter of the ferrule, and an outside diameter of the collar at a proximal end thereof is substantially equal to the outside diameter of the shaft. An outside surface of the collar at the distal end thereof is substantially flush with an outside surface of the ferrule.
