  • Publication number: 20240149300
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a surface repair and livery printing system and method. The method includes receiving an aircraft part having an altered surface image and selecting a repair process from one of a paint repair process, a decal repair process, or an inkjet repair process, based on characteristics of the altered surface image. The method also includes applying paint to the surface over the altered surface image. In response to selecting the decal repair process, the method includes printing a first image on a decal based on the characteristics of the altered surface image and a second image associated with the altered surface image and a step of applying the decal to the surface at least partially over the altered surface image. In response to selecting the inkjet repair process, the method includes performing the inkjet repair process to at least a portion of the surface based on the characteristics of the altered surface image.

  • Patent number: 11978169
Abstract: A wrist-pose isolation system can infer a wrist pose (e.g., the user's hand position relative to her forearm) and can reduce wrist-induced jitter for projection casting in an XR environment. A user's projection cast can be determined as a combination of a “low-wrist contribution” component (e.g., a body-and-arm component) and a “high-wrist contribution” component (e.g., the pose of the wrist with respect to the arm). Using input from a gesture-tracking system, the contribution of the user's wrist pose to the user's current projection cast is calculated as a “wrist-contribution vector.” A projection cast direction can be determined as the interpolation of the current low-wrist contribution component and the high-wrist contribution component. This interpolation can be performed by weighting each by a specified amount and combining them.

  • Publication number: 20240108761
Abstract: It is disclosed herein that ssAAV and scAAV vectors of the same serotype administered by injection into the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) via the intracerebroventricular (ICV) or intrathecal (cisternal or lumbar) route exhibit different cellular tropisms in the central nervous system. Thus, a subject can be treated by injection into the CSF of ssAAV or scAAV vector encoding a therapeutic protein, such as an ssAAV9 or scAAV9 vector. The therapeutic protein can be targeted to specific cells using these vectors. In some embodiments, scAAV9 is utilized to achieve superior transduction in the hippocampus, cerebellum and cerebral cortex where both neurons, particularly Purkinje neurons, and glial cells (such as astrocytes) are transduced. In other embodiments, ssAAV9 is utilized to minimize transduction of astrocytes. In further embodiments, an immunosuppressive agent is also administered to the subject.

  • Patent number: 11911685
Abstract: A skateboard deck that is both stiff in one dimension and flexible in another dimension is disclosed. The deck includes an elongated body characterized by a longitudinal axis, a plurality of ribs, and a plurality of apertures. The plurality of ribs are long, narrow beams oriented substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis and integral with the bottom of the elongated body. The plurality of apertures are distributed in a plurality of rows also oriented substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis. The ribs and rows of apertures are interposed in an alternating pattern across the width of the deck. The resulting deck is stiff in the longitudinal direction yet flexible with respect to rotation about the longitudinal axis. The deck is therefore flexible enough to enable the front and rear trucks to rotate with respect to one another while still being rigid enough to withstand the weight of the rider.
