  • Patent number: 11957425
Abstract: A robot-assisted surgical system has a user interface operable by a user, a first robotic manipulator having a first surgical instrument, and a second robotic manipulator having a second surgical instrument. The system receives user input in response to movement of the input device by a user and causes the manipulator to move the first surgical instrument in response to the user input, determines a vector defined by the position of the first surgical instrument relative to the second surgical instrument, generates dynamic control signals based on the determined vector, and causes the manipulator to move the second surgical instrument in response to said dynamic control signals.

  • Publication number: 20240119809
Abstract: Payment card slot tampering at a transaction terminal is detected in real time. One or more images from one or more cameras are analyzed. The camera(s) is/are focused overhead of the terminal on an area adjacent to and in front of a card slot for a card reader of the terminal. The images are analyzed for determining whether hands of arms for an operator of the terminal are performing actions that indicate the operator may be attempting to install a card skimmer/shimmer into the card slot and/or attempting to remove an existing skimmer/shimmer from the card slot. When card slot tampering event is detected at the terminal a variety of automated actions are processed, such as shutting down the card reader, shutting down the terminal, confiscating any payment card inserted into the card slot, notifying a financial institution, and/or notifying legal authorities.

  • Publication number: 20240118537
Abstract: Provided herein is a photonic integrated circuit and methods for controlling a photonic integrated circuit that can utilize the resonant frequency of one or more components of the photonic integrated circuit to enhance the response of the circuit. At least one component of the photonic integrated circuit can be driven by an electrical signal whose frequency is substantially equal to the mechanical resonance frequency of the component such that the response of the optical component is increased. The component of the photonic integrated circuit can include a phase shifter that can impart a phase shift on a received optical signal. By driving the phase shifter with an electrical signal that is equal to the mechanical resonance frequency of the optical phase shifter, less power can be required to impart a desired phase shift on a received optical signal. The optical components can be implemented using piezoelectric cantilevers.

  • Publication number: 20240119810
Abstract: Visual features of a vehicle, a vehicle's orientation with respect to a transaction terminal, and an individual associated with the vehicle are derived from video captured of the terminal and a surrounding area of the terminal. Additional information associated with brute force attacks in a location associated with the terminal are obtained as additional features. The visual features and the additional features are provided as input to a trained Machine-Learning Model (MLM) and the MLM provides as output a confidence value representing a prediction as to whether the current vehicle and the current individual are potentially about to engage in a brute force attack on the terminal. When the confidence value exceeds a threshold value, enhanced feature detection is enabled on the video, external systems are notified, and an incident packet of information is assembled.

  • Patent number: 11954719
Abstract: A consumer is identified engaged in an activity at a specific physical location. A context is formulated for the consumer based on the activity, the location, preferences associated with the consumer, and a history associated with the consumer. A natural language voice-based assistance session is initiated with the consumer. The session follows the consumer as the consumer travels and remains engaged in the activity. In an embodiment, the session is seamlessly maintained and is seamlessly transferred from a plurality of different devices as the consumer is engaged in the activity and travels. In an embodiment, the session is initiated without the consumer requesting the session.

  • Patent number: 11951263
Abstract: Disclosed herein are catheter control handles that include various mechanisms for controlling the circumferential angle and radial magnitude of flexion of an attached catheter. Control handles can comprise a housing. Control wires extend from a distal end of the housing and into a steerable transluminal device. A flex control member is operable to control tension on the pull wires to adjust a magnitude of radial flexion of the steerable transluminal device. A position control member is operable to control tension on the pull wires to adjust a circumferential angle in which the radial flexion of the steerable transluminal device is directed.

  • Patent number: 11954653
Abstract: A system includes first and second sensors, and a computing system. The first sensor measures a first property of a first piece of equipment, and the second sensor measures a second property of a second piece of equipment. The computing system includes a processor and memory, which stores a condition that depends on both the first property and the second property. Satisfaction of the condition indicates that maintenance of the first piece of equipment should be prioritized over maintenance of the second piece of equipment. The processor receives the measured first property and the measured second property. In response to determining, based on the measured first and second properties, that the third condition is satisfied, transmits an alert for display on a user device. The alert indicates that maintenance of the first piece of equipment has a higher priority than maintenance of the second piece of equipment.

  • Patent number: 11956263
Abstract: Evaluating computers, devices, or endpoints on a network, such as a large network of computers in an enterprise environment. Detecting computers, devices, or endpoints that may present a security risk to the network or may be compromised in some way. Generating network traffic that, in some cases, should be ignored or should prompt specific, known responses. Detecting endpoint(s) that respond to such network traffic in an anomalous way, or otherwise attempt to perform certain operations based on such network traffic.

  • Patent number: 11947454
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for controlling cache allocations in a configurable combined private and shared cache in a processor-based system. The processor-based system is configured to receive a cache allocation request to allocate a line in a share cache structure, which may further include a client identification (ID). The cache allocation request and the client ID can be compared to a sub-non-uniform memory access (NUMA) (sub-NUMA) bit mask and a client allocation bit mask to generate a cache allocation vector. The sub-NUMA bit mask may have been programmed to indicate that processing cores associated with a sub-NUMA region are available, whereas processing cores associated with other sub-NUMA regions are not available, and the client allocation bit mask may have been programmed to indicate that processing cores are available.

  • Patent number: 11948786
Abstract: A night vision system, a microchannel plate (MCP), and a planetary deposition system and methodology are provided for selectively depositing an electrode contact metal on one side of MCP channel openings. One or more MCPs can be releasably secured to a face of a platter that rotates about its central platter axis. The rotating platter can be tilted on a rotating ring fixture surrounding an evaporative source of contact metal. Therefore, the rotating platter further rotates so that it orbits around the evaporative source of contact metal. A mask with a variable size mask opening is arranged between the rotating platter and the evaporative source. While the mask orbits around the evaporative source with the rotating platter, the mask does not rotate along its own axis as does the rotating platter.
