  • Patent number: 9360179
Abstract: An LED night-light includes a housing and a toggle switch mounted on the housing. First and second prongs are supported by the housing. An LED driver circuit is electrically connected to a light-emitting diode. Movement of the toggle switch to a first position presses a second conductor against the second prong and thereby switchably connects the second conductor to the second prong. Movement of the toggle switch to a second position allows the second conductor to move out of contact with the second prong and thereby switchably provides an open circuit between the second conductor and the second prong. Electricity is supplied to the light-emitting diode and to the LED driver circuit when the toggle switch is in the first position. No electricity is supplied to the light-emitting diode and LED driver circuit when the toggle switch is in the second position.

  • Patent number: 9139986
Abstract: A remote-actuated shut off valve apparatus (100) including a valve assembly (200) and a control module (500). The valve assembly includes a valve body (210), a valve member (220), and a motor drive (300) to move the valve member between open and closed states. The control module includes an electronics housing (502) releasably attached to the valve assembly and control electronics (600) disposed within the electronics housing for actuating the valve assembly. A motor shroud (350) overlies a portion of the motor drive (300) and includes first and second contacts (370, 372) electrically coupled to a motor drive (300) of the valve assembly. The electronics housing includes a connector (540) and releasably engages the motor shroud in first and second orientations. In the first orientation, the connector contacts the first contact of the motor shroud. In the second orientation, the connector contacts the second contact of the motor shroud.

  • Patent number: 8662733
Abstract: An LED night-light generally includes a standard night-light assembly for an incandescent light bulb retrofit with an LED. A housing has an interior surface defining a cylindrical opening. The interior surface has threads adapted to mate with a threaded end of the incandescent light bulb. First and second prongs extend out of the housing and are configured for insertion into an electrical outlet. A groove is in the interior surface of the housing. A disk is received in the groove and mounts the LED to the housing so that the standard night-light assembly is retrofit as an LED night-light.

  • Patent number: 8562831
Abstract: A water filtration system includes a faucet assembly and a filtration assembly. The filtration assembly includes a filter assembly; a filter bracket or mounting assembly for securing the filter assembly to a support surface or structure; and a filter manifold assembly including an unfiltered water inlet for connecting to an unfiltered water supply and a filtered water outlet for connecting to a valve assembly of the faucet assembly. The filter assembly interfaces with the filter manifold assembly to provide filtered water to the faucet assembly under control of the valve assembly. A filter that otherwise would not interface with the filter bracket/mounting assembly and/or the filter manifold assembly can be adapted to work in the water filtration system by using a filter adaptor assembly.

  • Patent number: 8382051
Abstract: A wall-mounted bathroom accessory support assembly for supporting a bathroom accessory and adapted to be affixed to a bathroom wallboard. The support assembly includes: a mounting bracket; a fastener assembly adapted to affix the mounting bracket to a wallboard; and an accessory post assembly including an accessory post and a post adapter permanently affixed to the accessory post. The accessory post includes a wall defining a central body and a distal portion configured to support a bathroom accessory. The accessory post wall defines an open interior region and an access opening extending through the wall. The post adapter is disposed within the interior region of the accessory post wall and including an axially extending pedestal that includes a cantilevered flange. The mounting bracket includes a catch mechanism. The post adapter cantilevered flange engages the catch mechanism to releasably secure the accessory post assembly to the mounting bracket.
