  • Patent number: 8215820
Abstract: An LED night-light includes a housing with a threaded, cylindrical opening having an interior surface adapted to receive a threaded end of a light bulb. First and second prongs are supported in parallel by the housing. The prongs have interior ends extending into an interior of the housing and exterior ends extending out of the housing such that the exterior ends are configured to engage an electrical outlet. A disk is received in and supported by a groove in the interior surface. A light-emitting diode (LED) is mounted on the disk. The night-light further includes a circuit board including an LED driver circuit electrically connected to the LED. The driver circuit energizes the LED when the first and second prongs are plugged into an electrical outlet connected to a power source.

  • Publication number: 20120145854
Abstract: A wall-mounted bathroom accessory support assembly for supporting a bathroom accessory and adapted to be affixed to a bathroom wallboard. The support assembly includes: a mounting bracket; a fastener assembly adapted to affix the mounting bracket to a wallboard; and an accessory post assembly including an accessory post and a post adapter permanently affixed to the accessory post. The accessory post includes a wall defining a central body and a distal portion configured to support a bathroom accessory. The accessory post wall defines an open interior region and an access opening extending through the wall. The post adapter is disposed within the interior region of the accessory post wall and including an axially extending pedestal that includes a cantilevered flange. The mounting bracket includes a catch mechanism. The post adapter cantilevered flange engages the catch mechanism to releasably secure the accessory post assembly to the mounting bracket.

  • Publication number: 20080054210
Abstract: A valve cartridge includes a housing having a bore. A fixed control disc and a rotatable control disc are provided in the bore. A shaft extends through the bore, and rotation of the shaft serves to rotate the rotatable control disc relative to the fixed control disc. The shaft is seated in said bore using at least one bushing. The at least one bushing serves in spacing the shaft from the housing, and provides for the smooth rotation of the shaft relative to the housing.

  • Patent number: 5154370
Abstract: An air launched, air-to-surface missile which has extended range and reduced radar cross section for low observability is disclosed. The design uses a triangular cross section fuselage, for low profile drag and reduced weight, a very high aspect ratio, such as 22.5, folding wing for low induced drag and three folding tail fins for less profile drag. The wing is a composite structure of graphite/epoxy sparcaps and 2024 aluminum alloy core with glass/epoxy skins and full depth Nomex.

  • Patent number: 4010688
Abstract: A rocket boosted and/or sustained round for launching from a firearm, recoilless rifle, mortar or any other type of closed breech launcher and an adjustable, recoiling tripod support for the firearm or other type of closed breech launcher. The tripod supports the launcher during launch of the rocket boosted and/or sustained round. The rocket boosted round, which may be launched, for example, from the conventional M-16 rifle, is aero-gyro stabilized and is provided with a tubular tailpipe that slidingly fits over the end of the firearm barrel. A rocket motor which is ignited during or after launch is coupled to the tailpipe and a warhead having a predetermined ogive configuration is coupled to the rocket motor. An ignition delay means in the round such as a pyrotechnic delay may be provided to allow a predetermined time delay between launch of the round and the ignition of the rocket motor. Other round configurations incorporate a progressive burning rocket motor grain instead of a pyrotechnic delay.

  • Patent number: 3982467
Abstract: An improved launch cartridge means for launching a rocket powered round from a spike type launcher wherein the launch cartridge is provided with a probe means extending through the nozzle of the rocket powered round during a first portion of the launch phase thereof to reduce the pressure of the launch gases on the rocket propellant grain of the rocket powered round. The probe means is detachably coupled to the launch cartridge by selectively removable coupling means. For the condition where a pure ballistic trajectory of the rocket powered round is desired, that is, without ignition of the rocket propellant grain in the round, the coupling means is removed and the probe portion of the launch cartridge is driven into gas sealing engagement with the nozzle passage way of the rocket powered round to prevent the launch gases from igniting the rocket propellant grain.

  • Patent number: 3981225
Abstract: A launcher for a rocket powered round in which the launcher has a launch cartridge coupled thereto and the launch cartridge is insertable into the tailpipe of the round. The launch cartridge has a launch cartridge charge and an initial launch volume intermediate the launch cartridge charge and the round. A probe is coupled to the launch cartridge and extends into the nozzle of the rocket powered round to reduce the gas passage area therethrough during at least a first portion of the launch phase thereof. The probe may be permanently attached to the launch cartridge and thus remain part of the launcher or the probe may be detachably mounted on the launch cartridge and is driven into nozzle sealing relationship to the nozzle when the round is launched to prevent ignition of the rocket propellant grain.
