  • Patent number: 11069017
Abstract: A biometric bag check system includes one or more bag accepting devices, bag transport devices, and/or bag delivery devices. A bag accepting device is operable to obtain control of a bag from a person, obtain a digital representation of a biometric from the person, use a biometric identification system to determine an identity for the person using the digital representation of the biometric, verify flight information for the person by communicating with an airline system using the identity, and route the bag upon verification of the flight information. A bag transport device is operable to receive the bag from the bag accepting device and transport the bag. A bag delivery device is operable to receive the bag from the bag transport device and deliver the bag to the person.

  • Patent number: 11010254
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for prioritizing backups of data on cameras. In some examples, a camera records media content items captured by the camera and detects features within respective media content items captured by the camera. The camera tags the media content items with data identifying the features detected within the respective media content items and, based on the data identifying the features detected within the respective media content items, ranks the media content items to yield respective media content item rankings. Based on the respective media content item rankings, the camera selects one or more of the media content items for a prioritized remote backup and, in response to detecting a threat to the camera, sends, according to one or more rules defined for the prioritized remote backup, data associated with the one or more of the media content items to a network destination.

  • Patent number: 10994184
Abstract: A golf swing speed trainer for releasable attachment via a retainer to a shaft sleeve of a golf club shaft, including a head, a sleeve, and a weighting system. The trainer provides a highly customizable golf swing speed trainer that more accurately mimics the feel of a real club as a golfer works to increase their swing speed, without introducing any new bad habits. It allows a golfer to use their “gamer” shaft and grip during speed training, thereby increasing the user's familiarity with the trainer, which should result not only in increased swing speed but also improved consistency and accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20210042512
Abstract: A system receives a digital representation of a biometric for a person, uses the digital representation of the biometric to determine and/or otherwise retrieve identity information associated with the person, and uses the identity information to perform one or more actions related to the person's presence in one or more areas. For example, the system may estimate a path for the person and signal an agent electronic device based on the path. In another example, the system may determine a presence of a person within the area and/or transmit information to an agent electronic device regarding the determined presence. In still another example, the system may receive a request to communicate with the person and forward the communication to the person using the identity information.

  • Patent number: 10875704
Abstract: Provided is a pressure reducing tilt nozzle that includes a body defining a cavity having an inlet and an outlet, and a piston disposed in the cavity. The piston is biased in a first piston position away from the inlet allowing flow through the inlet and is movable toward the inlet to a second piston position preventing flow through the inlet when pressure in the cavity overcomes a biasing force biasing the piston in the first piston position.

  • Patent number: 10863144
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for protecting critical data on cameras from physical attacks. In some examples, a camera at a particular site monitors data captured by the camera and, based on the data, detects one or more predetermined conditions indicating a threat to the camera. Based on the one or more predetermined conditions indicating the threat to the camera, the camera determines a threshold risk of damage to data stored at the camera. In response to determining the threshold risk of damage to the data stored at the camera, the camera selects, from a plurality of content items in the data stored at the camera, a subset of content items based on respective priorities associated with the plurality of content items, and sends, via a network, the subset of content items to one or more destinations to yield a prioritized backup of the plurality of content items.

  • Patent number: 10756910
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes: obtaining a power loss value for a cable that couples a device to a power source, where the power loss value is indicative of an amount of power lost through the cable during power transmission from the power source to the device; and determining, based at least in part on the power loss value for the cable, a power budget value indicative of an amount of power received by the device from the power source.

  • Patent number: 10708496
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for managing power use of a camera and/or camera system. In response to a wakeup trigger, contents of a scene are captured by the camera. Based on a received energy budget for the camera, a scene analysis is performed on the scene, where the contents of the scene are analyzed according to one or more analytics models. Based on the output of the one or more analytics models and the received energy budget for the camera, it is determined whether the camera should continue capturing the contents of the scene or enter a power state lower than a previous power state (e.g., go to sleep).

  • Patent number: 10702938
Abstract: A torch includes a body that defines an interior cavity, and a fuel inlet connector secured to the body and disposed within the interior cavity. A regulator is disposed within the interior cavity and includes a regulator housing, a regulator valve and a regulator valve actuating device. An intake stem is secured to one of the fuel inlet connector and the regulator housing, and defines an intake flow passage. A burn tube is coupled with the body and defines a burn tube flow passage. A trigger is pivotally coupled with the body. The regulator valve opens as the trigger pivots between an off position and a full flow position, permitting a user to initiate and vary a flow of hydrocarbon fuel to the burn tube flow passage when the intake flow passage is in fluid communication with a source of hydrocarbon fuel, by varying the position of the trigger.

  • Publication number: 20200134154
Abstract: In biometric ticketing, physical token-less ticketing system using biometrics, a person may be identified using a digital representation of a biometric. Ticketing information may be ascertained based on the identification. The ticketing information may be provided, actions may be performed using the ticketing information, and so on. In some implementations, a checkpoint device receives biometric data from a person. A digital representation of the biometric data is used to obtain an identifier from an identification system. The digital representation of the biometric data may not be included in the identifier. The identifier is used by to obtain ticketing information from a ticketing system. The person may be allowed or denied entry into a ticketed area based on the ticketing information.

  • Patent number: 10628665
Abstract: A system enhances capabilities by cooperatively using identity systems and identification databases. In some examples, a system uses a biometric to verify an identity for a person with an identification database, accesses identity information for the person in an identity system using the biometric, and performs an action using the identity information. In various examples, a system attempts to verify an identity for a person with an identification database using a biometric, attempts to verify the identity for the person with an identity system using the biometric, and performs an action if the identity is verified. In a number of examples, a system obtains a biometric and identity information for a person; uses at least one of the identity information or the biometric to verify an identity for the person; and, upon confirming the identity with an identification database using the biometric, enrolls the person in an identity system.
