  • Patent number: 10245455
Abstract: A firefighter training unit for simulating use of a fire extinguishing system, the unit including: a reel; a user-manipulable nozzle; a hose having opposite ends attached respectively to the reel and the nozzle and being partially wound around the reel, wherein rotation of the reel in a first rotational direction allows the hose to be unwound from the reel; a motor configured to drive the reel in a second rotational direction which causes the hose to be wound onto the reel; one or more devices for providing one or more output signals corresponding to one or more simulated operating conditions of the fire extinguishing system; and a controller configured to drive the motor in response to the one or more output signals so as to apply torque to the reel in the second rotational direction to simulate forces applied to the hose during operation of the fire extinguishing system.

  • Publication number: 20180363323
Abstract: The present invention discloses a casing that has a generally cylindrical configuration having a bottom side that includes a bottom side cavity. The bottom side has a topography that is generally a negative topography of a surface of an article with which the bottom side associates. The topography of the bottom side is defined by a plurality of offset surfaces that define raised edges, with the offset surfaces and resulting raised edges forming reliefs.

  • Patent number: 10143237
Abstract: Disclosed is a vaporizer and associated tip where the tip extension is made of a more structurally stable two-component design to reduce the probability of failure in an area prone to failure. In particular, the tip can include a first extension closer to the body and that is made of a more ductile material than a ceramic (e.g., metal), and a second extension closer to the coil of the tip that is made of ceramic. The more ductile portion can therefore absorb impacts and stresses applied to the far end of the tip, while the ceramic portion can dissipate heat from the coil in a more effective manner.

  • Publication number: 20180225908
Abstract: A single space parking meter assembly for retrofitting onto an existing coin vault assembly includes a number of parking meter components enclosed within a protective outer covering that is rotatably or slidably engageable with the coin vault assembly when a bottom surface of the protective outer covering is positioned against or adjacent to an upper surface of the coin vault assembly. A locking mechanism secures the protective outer covering to the coin vault assembly when the protective outer covering is engaged with the coin vault assembly.

  • Publication number: 20180225909
Abstract: A parking meter may have a housing that is formed at least significantly of an impact resistant material. In particular, the impact resistant material may comprise one of a polycarbonate copolymer or polycarbonate blended resin, a nylon-based copolymer, or a nylon-based polymer that includes long glass fiber or Kevlar fiber. The housing encloses the parking meter components to provide protection for the parking meter components against an external environment and vandalism attacks.

  • Patent number: 9986764
Abstract: Disclosed is a vaporizer with a heating element located on a side opposite the mouthpiece. The heating element can heat an herbal product that is located away from the vaporizer and not within a canister that may require multiple heatings of the same product, producing a burnt flavor. The heating element can be in the shape of a coiled straw-like structure or otherwise incorporate a tubular passageway to provide better air flow during inhalation. The air flow tip and the tube can also be a single piece to allow for easier cleaning and replacement, or removal of the air flow tip if the tip includes resin of a controlled substance.

A first end of the main body includes a battery cap and a first seal ring, and may be detachably fixed to the first end of the main body by a nut. A fixing cap can also be provided on the main body, as well as a second seal ring for connecting the pipe with an atomizer. Both of the second seal ring and the fixing cap are fixed to the second end of the main body by a upper cap.
