  • Patent number: 6050380
Abstract: A friction clutch for a motor vehicle is embodied with a centrifugal mass device, which has at least one mass-bearing compensating system. At least one component of the centrifugal mass device is equipped, to form the compensating system, with at least one chamber that holds, to a predetermined degree of fullness, a fluid medium, whose position in the chamber changes when a torsional vibration occurs. The effect resulting from this position change depends on the density and viscosity of the medium, on the one hand, and, on the other hand, on the arrangement of the chamber, which determines the vibrational behavior of the medium, the shape of the chamber, which determines the movement resistance, and its degree of fullness.

  • Patent number: 5579880
Abstract: Friction clutch, in particular for motor vehicles, consisting of a driving portion as a counterpressure plate, a pressure plate oriented so that it can move axially but not rotationally with respect to the counterpressure plate, a clutch plate with clutch linings which can be fixed between the two and which is located non-rotationally on a drive shaft, whereby the clutch plate is provided if necessary with a load and/or idle damper, whereby there are also pressure elements for the clutch plate and/or the damper. On such a friction clutch, the object of the invention is to realize different, predetermined moments of friction with the identical geometry of the friction device. The invention teaches that this object can be achieved by providing as the pressure element at least one permanent magnet and/or at least one magnet system and/or at least one electrically energized magnetic circuit.

  • Patent number: 5251736
Abstract: A clutch plate for a motor vehicle friction clutch is proposed in which a lateral disc of a load torsional vibration damper of the clutch plate is radially centered on spring tongues which extend and project either axially or peripherally from a hub of the clutch plate. The spring tongues extend into a central opening in the lateral disc, and the spring tongues rest in the central opening under radial tension. Radially acting stops on the hub can be provided peripherally between the individual spring tongues to limit the spring travel.

  • Patent number: 5213188
Abstract: A clutch disk for a motor vehicle friction clutch is proposed of which the torsional vibration damper, designed for idle running, is arranged radially between a hub and springs of a torsional vibration damper designed for load running. The idling damper is arranged axially between a hub disk and one of the lateral disks of the load damper torsionally elastically coupled to the hub disk. The idling damper comprises an input part, produced from plastics material, which is non-rotatably connected to the hub disk coupled with rotational play but otherwise non-rotatably to the hub. The output part of the idling damper also consists of plastics material and is non-rotatably connected to the hub. Helical springs, couple the output part torsionally elastically to the input part. Pairs of projections, shaped on the input part, enclose the springs between themselves and are supported through the pockets on the hub disk.

  • Patent number: 5209334
Abstract: A clutch disc with torsional vibration damper is proposed in which synthetic plastics material guide parts are arranged between a hub disc protruding from a hub and two side discs arranged axially on both sides of the hub disc, which guide parts, stressed axially by a spring, fix the side discs axially on the hub disc and guide them radially on the hub, by means of formed-on collars. The guide parts are coupled rotationally elastically through springs of an idling damper with the hub disc and at the same time determine the friction moment in idling.

  • Patent number: 5167310
Abstract: The invention relates to the production of a multi-part hub part for a clutch disc, wherein all parts are joined together by a weld. Different designs are possible, depending on the various welding processes. The apertures for damper springs can be produced very exactly in the hub disc owing to the production in individual parts. It is also possible to arrange lubricant reservoirs in a simple manner in the region of the points of separation of the individual components.

  • Patent number: 5016744
Abstract: It is proposed for the clutch disc of a motor vehicle friction clutch that one of the lateral discs of a torsional vibration damper of the clutch disc be mounted via a radially resilient mounting ring on a cylindrical bearing face of a hub of the clutch disc. The mounting ring has a closed annular part which is fixed radially and axially in a central opening of the lateral disc and, on its internal periphery, has a substantially conical, preferably radially slotted, radially resilient connecting region. On its internal periphery, the connection region is provided directly or via a shaped-on tube region with a cylindrical opposing bearing face which rests substantially without initial tension on the bearing face of the hub. Spacer blocks limit the radial spring path and are used for the non-rotational guidance of the mounting ring on the lateral disc.

  • Patent number: 4903812
Abstract: The invention relates to a clutch disc including an idling damping device and an under-load damping device, wherein the idling damping device is active between two hub parts coupled with each other by a toothing having play in the circumferential direction. In order to avoid the load-change impact, centrifugal weights are provided between the two parts. The centrifugal weights frictionally couple the two parts by means of a self-intensifying effect.

  • Patent number: 4881468
Abstract: Described in a suspension conveyor system suitable for the use of conveyance units having two travelling rollers interconnected by an open yoke. The suspension conveyor system is universally applicable and capable of optimum adaptation to operating and space conditions in a given plant. To this purpose the system comprises changeover means selectively operable to tilt a conveyance unit to a left or right laterally suspended position or a center-suspended position to thereby permit for instance the radii of curved rail sections to be considerably shortened and particularly achieve a less complicated construction of required switches. In a preferred embodiment the switch is formed as an integral shaped member, so that the continuity of the rail circuit has not to be interrupted for guiding a conveyance unit onto selected branch rails.

  • Patent number: 4789053
Abstract: The torsional vibration damper suitable for the clutch disc of a motor vehicle friction clutch comprises an idling damper, the springs of which are retained in recesses of a toothing which couple the hub of the damper with a disc part, with limited play in rotation. The end faces of the spring lie for the one part on stop edges of the disc part and for the other part on stop edges of two retaining discs which annularly enclose the hub. The retaining discs are coupled non-rotatably, by axial bent-out portions, with a hub disc of the hub, and for assembly are pushed axially on to the hub. The retaining discs can be produced simply and fitted without problem. FIG. 1.

  • Patent number: 4669595
Abstract: Clutch disc for a motor vehicle friction clutch comprises a hub and a disc part enclosing the hub and coupled with predetermined play in rotation but otherwise non-rotatably with the hub. Side discs on axially opposite sides of the disc part form one unit mounted on the hub rotatably through a limited first angle relative to the disc part. The disc part is coupled rotationally elastically with the hub through at least one spring of an idling vibration damper. Several springs of an under-load vibration damper, arranged in windows of the disc part and of the two side discs, couple the side discs rotationally elastically with the disc part. The under-load vibration damper comprises a friction device having two control discs arranged on axially opposite sides of the disc part between the disc part and one each of the two side discs. The control discs are connected non-rotatably with one another.

  • Patent number: 4640402
Abstract: The clutch disc for a motor vehicle friction clutch comprises a hub and a friction lining carrier mounted rotatably on the hub. A torsional vibration spring means is arranged in the torque transmission path between the friction lining carrier and the hub. A torsional vibration damper comprises at least two friction elements lying axially resiliently flat against one another. One of the friction elements is connected non-rotatably with the hub and the other friction element is connected non-rotatably with the friction lining carrier. One of the friction elements is held displaceably in the radial direction, along the friction face of the other friction element, on the hub or the friction lining carrier. By radial adjustment of the friction element the friction torque can be adjusted and construction tolerances of the clutch disc can be compensated.
