  • Publication number: 20240107258
Abstract: Systems and methods for rendering spatial audio in accordance with embodiments of the invention are illustrated. One embodiment includes a spatial audio system, including a primary network connected speaker, including a plurality of sets of drivers, where each set of drivers is oriented in a different direction, a processor system, memory containing an audio player application, wherein the audio player application configures the processor system to obtain an audio source stream from an audio source via the network interface, spatially encode the audio source, decode the spatially encoded audio source to obtain driver inputs for the individual drivers in the plurality of sets of drivers, where the driver inputs cause the drivers to generate directional audio.

  • Publication number: 20240004017
Abstract: An antenna structure is disclosed that is well suited for use in dual- or multi-band wireless environments and sized so that it may be used in an antenna array for angle of arrival (AoA) detection. More specifically, an antenna may include a first antenna element, which may be an antenna element such as a patch antenna. The first antenna element is positioned in a first plane and positioned on first side of a substrate. On an opposite side of the substrate, a ground plane may be positioned in a second plane. The ground plane shapes the radiation pattern of the first antenna element to operate as a directional antenna. Sandwiched between the ground plane and the first antenna element is an intermediate antenna element constructed to act as a metamaterial that increases an effective distance between the ground plane and the first antenna element.

  • Patent number: 11548798
Abstract: A foam electrode comprising surface treatment by the steps of: 1) impregnating soft compressible polymeric foams with a conductive coating via sequential infiltration synthesis and 2) functionalizing the chemically altered voids with an ultrathin redox coating to enhance capacitive deionization (CDI). The redox coating will allow treated foam to absorb ions under the application of a bias, and mechanical compression/decompression. The CDI apparatus uses the void volume of the foam in the uncompressed state to flow liquids through it while the compressed state is used to enhance desalination by limiting the diffusion pathways for the ions to find an adsorption surface.

  • Publication number: 20210264644
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer readable storage medium are provided herein for constructing a representation of an annular structure associated with an anatomical object. The method includes receiving three-dimensional image data of the anatomical object and detecting at least a first landmark point and a second landmark point on the annular structure. A plane positioned between the first landmark point and the second landmark point, and oriented in accordance with a predefined angular relationship to a line connecting the first landmark point and the second landmark point is determined. A third landmark point on the annular structure which lies in the plane is also detected and the representation of the annular structure is generated using at least the first landmark point, the second landmark point, and the third landmark point. The representation is then outputted.

  • Patent number: 10610181
Abstract: Robust calcification tracking is provided in fluoroscopic imagery. A patient with an inserted catheter is scanned over time. A processor detects the catheter in the patient from the scanned image data. The processor tracks the movement of the catheter. The processor also detects a structure represented in the data. The structure is detected as a function of movement with a catheter. The processor tracks the movement of the structure using sampling based on a previous location of the structure in the patient. The processor may output an image of the structure.
