    Abstract: Provided are a polymer composition on a substrate and a surface modification method which is non-selective to substrate materials. Chemical vapor deposition polymerization is used to deposit a maleimide-functionalized poly-p-xylylene coating on a substrate. The substrate is readily available to perform a thiol-maleimide coupling reaction under mild conditions so as to modify the surface thereof. Furthermore, through a tailored thiol-terminal molecule, a designer surface can be created via thiol-maleimide coupling on a substrate, and the resulting surface can exhibit various desired biological functions for biotechnological applications. Therefore, this modification technique can be applied to biological fields extensively.

A second organic light-emitting layer is formed in the second sub-pixel region and the third sub-pixel region by using a second fine metal mask.     Abstract: Interference in an audio signal is reduced by estimating a target signal using beam-forming in a direction of the signal source. A set of estimates of interference is determined by using a microphone array filtering matrix to block the target signal in the audio signal. A set of filters is optimized by minimizing an objective function measuring a mismatch between the set of estimates of interference and the estimate of the target signal. The minimizing uses a sparse regularization of coefficients of the set of filters. The set of estimates of interference are filtered using the set of filters after the optimizing. Then, the estimate of interference after the optimizing is subtracted from the target signal.

    Abstract: An electrostatic loudspeaker with multichannel output includes an electrostatic diaphragm, spacers, a first electrode plate and a second electrode plate. The electrostatic diaphragm has two outer surfaces, and a spacer is disposed on each outer surface. The spacers and the electrostatic diaphragm are sandwiched between the first and second electrode plates. At least two metal layers that do not overlap each other are respectively disposed on each of the first and the second electrode plates, and are electrically connected to at least two different electric contacts respectively, so as to obtain at least two corresponding sound source signals. In this manner, at least two metal layers attract or repel the electrostatic diaphragm, causing the electrostatic diaphragm to vibrate and generate sound respectively. In this presentation, at least two sound source signals may be applied to the same electrostatic loudspeaker, thereby achieving the objective of multichannel output.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a CO2 laser-transparent material having a mark on the surface thereof and the method for making the same. The method includes the following steps: providing a first substrate, which has a top surface and a bottom surface; providing a second substrate which has a top surface; putting the bottom surface of the first substrate on the top surface of the second substrate; irradiating a CO2 laser beam to the top surface of the second substrate by passing through the top surface and the bottom surface of the first substrate; and forming a mark on the bottom surface of the first substrate. The material of the mark is oxide of the second substrate or the same as the material of the second substrate. Whereby the cheap CO2 laser is utilized to form the mark on the first substrate, and the mark can be erased easily by a proper chemical for recycling the first substrate.
