  • Patent number: 7084036
Abstract: A data writing method for mask read only memory using different doses of ion implantations to perform the data writing of Mask Read Only Memory. A semiconductor substrate having a plurality of gate structures is provided. The different ion implantations are performed depending on the mask from the user, thereby generating the different voltage output values. The different voltage output values are set as (00), (01), (10), and (11) for the bit output. Therefore, the present invention reduces the area of memory required for a specific data record, and lowers the production cost.

  • Publication number: 20040201572
Abstract: A controlling device for a mouse includes an input module, a switching module and a micro-controller module. First, the input module generates input signals from the input, that is, when the mouse is moved by a user, the switching module determines the current controlling state of the mouse to be operating in the XY-axes direction or the Z-axis direction, allowing the micro-controller module to activate the mouse operation from the XY-axes direction to the Z-axis direction, so as to make the mouse scroll data shown on the screen upwardly or downwardly according to the moving direction of the mouse being manipulated. In condition of no increase in assembling members and requirement of a third pair of encoders, specific driving programs or programmable integrated circuit structures, the application of a conventional mouse micro-controller and a switch is effective to proceed the scrolling operation of the mouse.

  • Publication number: 20040160607
Abstract: An apparatus accesses and processes reflection images detected from microarray biochips with sidewalls. The apparatus uses a movable system to carry an optical module and a microtitre plate to achieve relative movement in different directions, so that pattern images of all wells in the microtitre plate can be retrieved during a single scanning process. Scanned image data are further compared with pre-defined patterns by a computer program for analysis.

  • Publication number: 20030108999
Abstract: The invention provides recombinant cells that have been engineered such that ligand stimulation of a receptor expressed by the cells leads to amplified signal transduction responses. In one embodiment, the receptor-expressing cells have been engineered to carry a heterologous DNA construct comprising a gene encoding a protein that activates the signal transduction pathway, which gene is operatively linked to a promoter that is responsive to activation of the signal transduction pathway. Stimulation of the receptor by a ligand leads to expression of the heterologous DNA construct encoding the protein that activates the signal transduction pathway such that signals generated by ligand binding to the receptor are amplified. Preferred cells are yeast cells expressing heterologous G protein coupled receptors functionally coupled to the yeast pheromone response pathway and overexpressing Ste5p, Ste4p, Ste12p, Ste11p or a dominant truncation allele of Ste20 via a pheromone-responsive promoter.

  • Publication number: 20020109974
Abstract: A primary circuit board is provided with an opening. A component is mounted on a secondary circuit board. The secondary circuit board is then mounted over the opening of the primary circuit board with the component disposed within the opening. An exposure height of the component over the primary circuit board is thus reduced, the exposure height being measured from a top surface of the component to a top surface of the primary circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20020044135
Abstract: A positioning mechanism cooperative with a track ball in a mouse used for an electronic device is proposed, in which a positioning element retained in a housing is capable of being rotated by 360 degrees, and constantly in contact with the track ball by a resilient force provided from a resilient element. The positioning mechanism is advantageous of having the position element able to be perfectly cooperative with the movement of the track ball in the mouse, so that the flexibility in operation and accuracy in positioning of the track ball are both significantly improved.

  • Publication number: 20010050674
Abstract: An improvement for computer mouse device includes a housing which has a bottom surface, a top surface, a first side surface, a second side surface, at least one button and a tracking device. A fillister shape is formed on the top surface and capable of accommodating at least one human figure, so that user's index finger may be rested on the fillister shape to move the mouse around for controlling curser motion and has the index finger tip drop vertically downward to press the button for selecting and excuting computer commands. The mouse is thus much more ergonomically designed and shaped to reduce muscle and nerve stress from undue jesture for fingers, palm and wrist. User may operate the mouse for a long period of time of reduced traditional stress and fatiuge or other harmful effect.

  • Publication number: 20010006381
Abstract: A finger-scale mouse casing structure is proposed, which allows the user to hold and move the mouse in a more effortless manner than the prior art, and also allows the overall mouse size to be made more compact than the prior art. This finger-scale mouse casing structure comprises: a base part for accommodating a movement-detection circuit; a first sidewall which is substantially upright erected on a first lateral side of the base part; a second sidewall which is substantially upright erected on a second lateral side of the base part; and a set of buttons disposed on the base part. With this finger-scale mouse casing structure, the user can hold and move the mouse simply by moving his/her thumb and fingers, without having to turn his/er wrist and elbow, thus preventing the Carpal tunnel syndrome.

  • Patent number: 6131245
Abstract: A fastening ring structure includes a metallic strap formed with a U-shaped bending section spaced from one end of the strap by a predetermined distance. Two ends of the bending section are formed with a first and a second sections. The second section is formed with multiple engaging holes at equal intervals. Two inner engaging hooks project from inner side of the first section toward the bending section. Two outer engaging hooks and a locating plate project from outer side of the first section toward the bending section. Two ends of the strap are curved into a circular shape with the first section overlapping the second section on inner or outer side thereof. The inner or outer engaging hooks and locating plate of the first section are engaged in the engaging holes of the second section to form a fastening ring. The inner or outer engaging hooks can be engaged in different engaging holes to achieve a longer adjustment length of the fastening ring.

  • Patent number: 6034627
Abstract: A computer input device comprising: a housing, a tracking ball, at least a button and a through hole formed on the housing. The housing has a bottom surface, a top surface, a first side surface and a second side surface. The tracking ball is partially held within the housing while having part thereof exposed outside the housing through a bottom opening formed on the bottom surface. The hole is formed on a front portion of the top surface and has a size capable to accommodate a human's index finger such that the housing can be controlled and moved easily and readily by the finger accommodated in the hole. Since the housing can be moved and operated by using fingers merely without adapting to the size and shape of a human's palm, therefore the volume and size of the computer input device in accordance with the present invention can be reduced.
