Abstract: An evaluation server is disclosed. The server comprises a processor, a memory, and an application stored in the memory. The application receives a request from an enterprise new accounts sever to predict the trustworthiness of an account applicant. The application then accesses a plurality of mobile communication service provider data stores that comprise information on mobile communication service provisioning events, wherein these events comprise at least one of voice mail redirect events of the mobile communication device, changing out of the mobile communication device for other mobile communication devices events, payment history, and adding international calling service events. The application then generates a confidence report about the trustworthiness of the account applicant based on the information found in the plurality of data stores. The application then transmits the confidence report to the enterprise server.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and products utilize wireless-backup technologies to provide contact-reconciliation services with respect to sets of contacts stored on mobile devices. One embodiment of the inventions includes receiving an indication of an update event associated with a first set of contacts on a first mobile device, updating a remotely-stored copy of the first set of contacts, determining that a remotely-stored copy of a second set of contacts does not include a portion of contact information corresponding to the first mobile device, and updating the remotely-stored copy of the second set of contacts. In an embodiment, the remotely-stored copy of the second set of contacts is synchronized with the second set of contacts, thereby updating the second set of contacts.

Abstract: A system is provided for mobile device alternative text messaging. The system includes a processor, a memory, and a messaging component stored in the memory. When executed by the processor, the messaging component receives a first text message sent by a first originator device via a first mobile directory number associated with a mobile device, sends a second text message to the first originator device via the first mobile directory number, receives a third text message sent by a second originator device via a second mobile directory number associated with the mobile device, and sends a fourth text message to the second originator device via the second mobile directory number.

Abstract: Methods and products for providing an item of content to a mobile device in a prepaid context by way of a wireless telecommunications network are provided. One embodiment of a method includes receiving an indication that the item of content is desired to be communicated to a mobile device (which is associated with a certain customer); determining that the customer obtains wireless-telecommunications services by way of either a piecemeal plan or a recurring-fees plan; when the customer is associated with the piecemeal plan, determining that a remaining amount of the prepaid balance is insufficient to pay for the desired content (and thereby triggering a first follow-up process); and when the customer is associated with the recurring plan, determining that an immediate-payment option does not exist (and thereby triggering a second follow-up process).

The profile comprises user specified preferences for music and a user-defined schedule of when insertion of audio messages from user selected subscribed information services are permitted into an audio stream, and the first audio message is selected by the computer from the user selected subscribed information services of the profile based on at least one of a time or a place of the audio play device.

A system for communicating active content of a mobile device to an external computing device is also provided. The system includes a mobile device operable to transfer data containing at least one of display definitions, navigational elements, and active content and an external computing device operable to present the transferred data.

Abstract: To display a multimedia presentation together with location-based content, a client device reports its location to a content server. The device receives and displays video content from the content server. The device also receives location-based information related to the multimedia presentation. This location-based information may be textual data in an XML (extensible markup language) format. In some embodiments, the multimedia presentation is video content that includes an advertisement for a good or service, and the location-based content identifies a nearby establishment offering the good or service. The client device renders the video and textual data together.

Abstract: A system is provided. The system comprises an at least one computer system, a services database, and an application that, when executed on the at least one computer system, receives a message containing information about a digital image, the information containing a request for a service. The application also transmits an image translation request, wherein the image translation request includes the information. The application also receives a translation containing a service code, validates the services to be provided associated with the service code based on information in the services database, and when validation succeeds, provides a communication service, wherein digital images are associated with the provision of services based on information in the services database.

Abstract: A system is provided for text message spam solutions. The system includes a server and a spam application. When executed by the server, the spam application receives a first text message from a handset, parses the first text message to identify a short code as an identifier of a communication device that originated the first text message, and adds the short code to a block list associated with the handset. The spam application also calculates a credit based on a history of text messages associated with the handset and the short code, and provides the credit to a service account associated with the handset. Additionally, the spam application determines whether a second text message is associated with the short code in the block list; and blocks the second text message if the second text message is associated with the short code in the block list.

The server estimates a number of potential viewers based on sensing the traffic, selects content based on the number, and communicates the content. Abstract: A computer implemented method is provided for display adaptation based on captured image feedback. Content that comprises a marker is displayed. An image of the content is captured by a mobile device. Whether the marker in the image is recognized is determined. The marker in the image is analyzed in response to a determination that the marker in the image is not recognized. The content is adjusted based on the analyzed marker. The adjusted content is displayed. The marker in the image is analyzed to determine at least one of a time and a location associated with capturing the image of the content in response to a determination that the marker in the image is recognized. Another content is displayed based on at least one of the time and the location determined by analyzing the marker.

Abstract: A chat space system is provided. The chat space system comprises at least one computer system and a chat space application that when executed on at least one computer system receives a plurality of audio recordings, at least some of the audio recordings formatted to initiate one of a plurality of chat themes and the other audio recordings associated with one of the chat themes, converts a chat theme audio title contained in each of the audio recordings formatted to initiate one of the chat themes to a chat theme text title and stores the audio recordings according to chat themes. In response to receiving a request from a first device for a list of chat themes, retrieves the chat theme text titles from storage and transmits the chat theme text titles to the first device.

Abstract: A system is provided. The system comprises a computer system and an application that, when executed on the computer system, creates a virtual private site in response to a request from a first portable electronic device, the site storing and displaying electronic content posted by the first device. The application also receives a first message from the first device containing a request to authorize a second portable electronic device to access content from the virtual private site and associates a unique identifier for the second device with a credential for the second device. The system also receives a second message containing a request from the second device to access electronic content from the virtual private site. The system also verifies the unique identifier received in the second message, verifies the credential received in the second message, and transmits the electronic content to the second portable from the virtual private site.

Abstract: A system is provided. An application determines a consolidated cycle date for a master prepaid account where a cycle date comprises the first day of usage periods for prepaid accounts. The application determines that a first prepaid account is associated with a first cycle date and a second prepaid account is associated with a second cycle date where the first, second, and consolidated cycle date differ from each other. A first and second prorated amount is determined by multiplying a remaining fraction of a current first and second usage period times a first and second periodic payment, respectively. The first prorated amount is added to the second prorated amount to determine a first credit. Individual billing is discontinued for the first and second prepaid account. The first credit is applied to a first master payment amount payable on the consolidated cycle date under the master prepaid account.

Abstract: A customer initiated mobile service diagnostics system is provided. The system comprises a database containing diagnostic data, a computer system, and an application, that when executed on the computer system, receives a message from a portable electronic device enrolling for diagnostic services. The system also sends a message to activate diagnostics software on the portable electronic device and receives notification of at least one service problem experienced by the portable electronic device. The system also analyzes data stored by at least one of the portable electronic device and the database to identify the root cause of the at least one service problem. The system also sends information to the portable electronic device providing resolution of the root cause of the at least one service problem.
