  • Publication number: 20200144801
Abstract: A protective cover to cover an opening of an electrical box having a threaded bore on inwardly projecting protrusions. In one approach the protective cover may have a back panel and four side panels together defining an interior cavity; a flange connected to a free edge of the side panels; wherein the flange has a pair of keyhole shaped bores defining a pair of openings along a center longitudinal axis of the flange; and wherein the keyhole openings are configured to allow a head of a screw to extend from the threaded bore and through a rounded portion of the keyhole opening and to allow a threaded shaft of the screw to slide along the length of an elongated narrow portion of the keyhole opening, the narrow portion being narrower than the diameter of the screw head.

  • Publication number: 20200139213
Abstract: A hockey-stick blade includes a heel region, a toe region spaced longitudinally from the heel region, and a mid-region located between the heel region and the toe region. The toe region includes one or more reinforcing elements, optionally of different lengths, located at different vertical positions within the toe region. The blade further includes a hosel that optionally is tailored to substantially match the strength and stiffness characteristics of an attached or integral hockey stick shaft. The mid-region of the blade exhibits improved feel and flexibility characteristics due to the increased stiffness in the toe region.

  • Patent number: 10565215
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a computer implemented method of determining a similarity score of a plurality of data records with a target data record in a data set. The similarity score allows a user to identify secondary data records, or pairs of data records, that disclose similar concepts. Also disclosed herein is a computer implemented method for presentation and visual navigation of a data set including related data records. The presentation of a data set using the disclosed method allows users of to quickly identify data records that are very similar to a data record of interest. The data set may include directly connected or indirectly connected patents.

  • Publication number: 20190382293
Abstract: A system and method for pH neutralizing waste liquid is provided. The waste liquid to be treated is collected in a treatment tank, and the initial pH of the waste liquid is determined. The initial pH value of the waste liquid is then compared to high and low reference pH values which are the highest and lowest acceptable pH values for the waste liquid after treatment. In accordance with the comparison of the initial pH value of the waste liquid to be treated and the reference pH values, either an acid neutralizer or a base neutralizer is added to the waste liquid using one or more venturis as the waste liquid is being pumped from the treatment tank through a recirculation line until the desired end pH value of the treated waste liquid is equal to or between the reference high and low pH values. After treatment with an acid or base, the treated waste liquid may be discharged from the treatment tank to a drain, sewer, or other destination.

  • Publication number: 20190349247
Abstract: Various embodiments of the disclosure disclosed herein provide techniques for detecting anomalies across one or more components within a distributed computing system, according to various embodiments of the present disclosure. An anomaly detection system retrieves event data associated with a real-time stream of events generated by one or more components within a distributed computing system. The anomaly detection system computes a failure metric based on the event data. The anomaly detection system determines that the failure metric exceeds a dynamically adjustable trigger condition. The anomaly detection system generates an alert associated with the failure metric.

  • Publication number: 20190010367
Abstract: The teachings herein are directed at multi-layer films, tie layer compositions for multi-layer films and related methods, and to polymeric adhesive compositions and methods for manufacturing polymeric adhesive compositions. The tie layer composition preferably adhere to polypropylene, and more preferably adheres to both polyethylene and polypropylene. The tie layer preferably includes a propylene based elastomer. The tie layer includes one or more thermoplastic polyolefins. The tie layer composition may include a grafted polyolefin, e.g., having one or more functional grafts. The polymeric adhesive compositions preferably adhere to both polypropylene surfaces and to polyethylene surfaces. The polymeric adhesive composition preferably comprises a minority amount (i.e., less than about 40 weight percent) of a propylene based elastomer polymer and a majority amount (i.e., greater than about 55 weight percent) of an ethylene containing polymer.

  • Patent number: 10076693
Abstract: A sporting-good implement, such as a ball bat or a lacrosse stick, includes a first handle section rotatably connected to a second handle section. The second handle section may be attached to or integral with a tapered region or barrel region of a ball bat, or with a shaft section or head of a lacrosse stick, or with another sporting-good feature. This rotatable engagement allows the relative position of the user's hands to change during the course of a swing, shot, or pass, ideally placing the user's hands in a position to generate improved power or control.
